'Time really has flown by so fast,' Esme said as she drove home with Ecie. 'I'm going to miss everyone.'

'Same,' Ecie agreed. 'To think of all the things we've been through over the past four years; it's just so insane.'

'I know,' Esme nodded. 'Then you think about all the stuff that's happened over the past eighteen years. We've all grown up together; it's going to be weird saying goodbye to everyone.'

'Yeah,' Ecie said as she pulled up outside their mother's home. 'Is mom home already?'

'It looks like Eric's car,' Esme said as they climbed down from her Lexus 450h SE-L Premier. 'I wonder if everything's okay.'

They walked into the house and poked their head around the living room door. Sofie and Eric were lying on the sofa in front of the fire, watching a movie and kissing.

'Hey guys,' Ecie said knocking on the door.

Sofie looked up at her daughter. 'What are you guys doing here?'

'We've been staying here,' Esme said. 'Hey Eric.'

'Good evening girls,' Eric smiled. He reached forward for the remote and paused the film. 'What have you been up to?'

Sofie sighed as Esme and Ecie walked into the room and sat down on another sofa.

'We just came back from dinner,' Esme replied. 'It was kind of like the last meal.'

'That's good,' Eric said. 'How was it?'

'Emotional,' Ecie replied. 'When did you guys get back? Have you just been sitting here watching a movie?'

'Yeah,' Eric said. 'We got back a couple hours ago.'

Esme and Ecie nodded.

'Jonathon said that you agreed on the apartment,' Sofie said sitting up a little. 'That's great.'

'Yep,' Esme nodded. 'We thought that the Culver City place wasn't really us.'

Sofie nodded. 'Well it's a big responsibility and we'll need talk about it.'

'Right,' Ecie said getting up. 'We'll just leave you lovebirds to get back to what you were doing. Have a good night.'

'Yeah,' Esme said. 'We'll stay at dads tonight.'

They left the room then walked back out of the house and climbed back into Ecie's car.

'Why did that feel so weird?' Esme asked as Ecie drove out of the driveway. 'That was so calm.'

'They must be exhausted from the flight,' Ecie replied yawning. 'I think it's cute that Eric's tamed mom.'

'Not exactly though,' Esme grinned. 'I saw her stop herself when Eric asked what we'd been up.'

'Ha,' Ecie laughed. 'They are the weirdest couple ever. Eric is everything mom hates in a guy and mom is not Eric's type at all. How did they even get together in the first place?'

'Who the hell even knows,' Esme said. Ecie pulled up in Jonathon's driveway and they climbed down from the car. 'Tomorrow should be a fun day.'

'Yeah,' Ecie agreed as they walked into the house. 'Is dad not home?'

'I don't think so,' Esme said. They walked up the stairs to their room. 'I am so exhausted from today.'

'My bed,' Ecie said. 'I am so happy.'

'Where's Taylor tonight?' Ecie asked as they lay in the dark.

'He's hanging out with his friends tonight,' Esme replied. 'I gave him the night off.'

Ecie laughed. 'You guys make me laugh so much.'

'It's all Taylor,' Esme smiled. 'I don't know what I'd be like if I hadn't met him.'

'I'm glad Denis introduced you,' Ecie said. 'I'm really happy he did.'

'Really?'

'Yeah,' Ecie nodded. 'Taylor makes you really happy and I can see it all over you. You've completely changed and become a woman.'

'Please don't start with the long sentimental talk,' Esme laughed.

'I want you to know that I'm always going to be here for you,' Ecie said. 'You're the best twin in the world and I couldn't ask for a better sister.'

'Thank you E,' Esme smiled. 'You're the best twin too. Even though you stress me out most of the time, I'm happy we're sisters and you are the greatest sister in the world. I wouldn't replace you for anything.'

'Yeah, unless it was for Burke Preston or Simon Hoult,' Ecie said. 'I know I'll always be second best.'

They laughed.

'Hey Ecie,' Esme said after a few minutes. 'Do you still want to see Ellis?'

'I don't know,' Ecie replied. 'I don't think so anymore.'

'If you ever wanted to, I'd come with you,' Esme said. 'Just so that you wouldn't have to do it alone.'

'Thanks Es,' Ecie replied. 'You don't have to.'

'I do,' Esme said. 'Despite everything that's happened, I owe you this.'

'No you don't.'

'I do,' Esme said. 'You've been doing all my school work since we were kids, you taught me how to surf, and you single-handedly mange to keep our closet looking impeccable. I never really properly thanked you for Taylor. I mean it was partly down to you that I met him in the first place.'

'It was all down to Denis,' Ecie said. 'I didn't want him to do it.'

'Well I didn't want you to go out with Denis whilst you were with Grayson,' Esme said. 'I suppose this makes us even.'
