First of all, this book is dedicated to J and B. These two boys have been my inspirations in high school. I would probably never pass Physics, Calculus, and Algebra without the two of them... Nor would I have my sanity as I went through the often difficult, yet strangely rewarding phase called high school. These two would always have a place in my heart.

Many thanks to those who supported this story even in its early stages. I know most of you have not made it to the last chapter (I know, I am at fault here for I've ceased updating the story for so long that people probably forgot about it or thought I was never going to finish it.) To those who have, my deepest gratitude goes to you.

Just like this story which started with the characters being in high school, I went through a phase in my writing that was both experimental and challenging. DMO took two years to come to a close despite it being one of my shorter novels because I simply did not plan for it. I had one scene planned out in my mind and didn't know what to do with it. There was no beginning, middle, or end; no tangible conflict that would push them apart or change them irrevocably. I now know the dangers of doing such a thing, and would better equip myself in the future so it doesn't happen again.

As you may notice, the story was smoothly sailing as a slice-of-life story until I came to a point where I cannot go forward anymore. Just like graduating from high school, the memories no longer suffice to hold the fabric of the story together. I had to lay it to rest, much like all the feelings that I had to move on from. Everybody grows up. Adrian and Dianne had to grow up. I had to grow up. I find that I do not know how to write Teen Fiction anymore, and the story had to go out from its shell for me to continue it, thus the marriage of the plot to characters in ISITL.

It wasn't planned, but I felt that if I didn't do that I wouldn't have the drive to write it. When I started the third arc I told myself, the story will end in ten chapters. That was the only thing in my mind. I had no idea how to accomplish it, simply that I will. And I did. So yay :)

There will be no Book Two. I might let the characters here visit the other stories, but this tale has reached its happily, ever after.
