Goodbye

The party started at 6pm and everyone is having fun. All is present in the said event.Prince is wearing a plain black mask and a plain black tuxedo,inner white polo and black bow tie. He looked hot as hell and still had the charm and charisma when he was younger.Di siya mapakali sa kanilang Reunion Masquerade Party. The reunion was organized by a mysterious sponsor which intended it to be a Masquerade Party. Ang sabi niya lang daw sa invitation, ay para maging exciting at surprising ang muling pagkikita-kita nila.

Prince was looking for someone. Oo, hinahanap niya si Angel at umaasang may himalang mangyari at dumating siya. Ano bang iniisip ko? How could she attend here? She's...... gone. He thought and memories flashed to his mind...

A heartbreaking news came the next morning. Their teacher announced the death of Angel dela Bueva. It was past 2:30 AM when their house burned down caused by a fallen lamp. The dead body was found inside Angel's room. The cops are still trying to find out if it was an accident or a suicide because of the message written on the wall.

"I'm sorry to tell you that you will not be complete during the graduation day. Let's send our condolences to the family of Ms. dela Bueva this Saturday." Their teacher said before she dismissed.

"Great news! This is the best day of my life! Hahaha!" Harriet said.

"Yeah right!" Fiona and Shiena chorused before they laughed with Harriet.

"She was not invisible enough to escape the fire! Hahaha!" Jake added and laughed.

"One ugly person down! Hahaha!" Harriet said and Jake seconded.

"Oh..Goodbye Angel! You will not be missed!" Fiona said and they doubled the laughter.

"She's finally home at last! Hahaha! In hell!" Shiena said and laughed out loud.

"Prince? Are you alright? What's wrong babe? Don't tell me that you're affected about what happened?" Harriet said as she cupped Prince's cheeks.

"Nothing, I'm just tired. Wag mo nalang akong pansinin,babe." He said before he slowly pushed her hands away.

She just rolled her eyes and continued laughing and chitchating.

Ms.Beaves...He thought. He couldn't believe that she was gone. It was like a blink of an eye. He was...hurt. Her tears stained face keeps replaying on his mind. Bakit? He thought. He wanted to cry but he can't and he don't know why.

Their childhood memories flashed through his mind like an old movie. Naalala niya kung gaano sila kasayang naglalaro ng habulan at siya lagi ang taya dahil sinasadya niyang magpahuli. He became teary-eyed because of those memories he will never forget. Matagal na silang magkaibigan pero di niya inaakala na maaga siyang kukunin sa kanya. Kung pwede ko lang ibalik ang mga kamay ng orasan. He thought.

They all went to the funeral whether they liked it or not cause their grades will be affected. The place was lifeless and quiet. You will not see a person smiling. The place is not that crowded. To kill the boredom,Harriet, Fiona, Shiena and Jake decided to look at the remains of Angel.

"Ayaw mo ba talagang tumingin, Prince?" Harriet said before she stood up. He just nodded and still had a blank emotion.

They slowly walked towards the sealed coffin but someone tapped Harriet's back and it made her scream.

"Di niyo pwedeng buksan ang kabaong. Masyadong sunog ang katawan niya kaya di na binuksan."

"Ang arte ! Hay! Wala tuloy akong panggawa ng meme at maipopost sa instagram!" Harriet said.

Harriet rolled her eyes and sat beside Prince instead. The eulogy started and none of them were interested but Prince.

"Angel dela Bueva was an excellent student since elementary. I watched her grow and I know that her life was not that easy but she was brave enough to face it. She's a great girl and it brings me great sorrow that our Lord God took her too soon. But everything happens for a reason and God's in control. Angel, you may rest in peace." Their teacher, Ms. Jas , said.

"Rest in peace in Hell! Hahaha!" Harriet whispered and laughed.

"I hope na sana eh masaya kana kung saan kaman ngayon Angel." Bulong ni Prince sa kanyang sarili.

Pagkatapos ng libing ay nagdesisyon si Prince na
bumisita sa sunog na bahay nila Angel. Halos abo nalang ang makikita mo sa buong paligid. He kept his tears from falling. He slowly stepped inside the burned house and straightly went to Angel's room. It felt like a leap to another dimension.

"Ms.Beaves? Angel? Naririnig mo ba ako? I'm sorry. I know, it's all I could say. Sorry sa mga paghihirap na naranasan mo dahil sa akin. Sorry kung di kita nagawang ipagtanggol. Sorry kase naging duwag ako.I'm sorry." He said as he gently caressed the message written on the wall that says,'I'm in pain and I can't do this anymore. Goodbye.-Angel'

His tears finally fell. He was guilty inside. Pakiramdam niya, wala siyang kwentang tao at kaibigan. He punched the wall many times until blood flowed from his fist. He knew that the pain he is feeling right now is not enough to repay her.

"I'm sorry!" He cried out before he sat down,leaned on the wall and closed his eyes.

Can I take your place instead? You don't deserve this! He thought.

That was 5 years ago.....
5 long years and many things had happened. Many things and people has changed.

Angel is currently glancing at the crowd when someone tapped her back. She turned her head to look.

"Ma'am? The party is about to start." The emcee said.

"I'll be going down in a jiffy. I just need to wear my mask." She said before the emcee left.

I'm so excited to see the look of your faces when you see the girl that you messed around before, is now a girl you wouldn't dare to hurt. She thought and smirked.
