I woke up at 10 AM to my phone that wouldn't stop going off. My mother told me to hurry and get ready to see my dad. I quickly pulled on some jeans and a sweater.

We drove a few miles to the hospital and my mother let me see my dad by myself. I didn't object.

Warm tears were already stinging my cold cheeks as I neared my dad's bed. He was asleep, so I was able to examine all of the fresh wounds on his face. Some of his cuts were already healing, but the majority of them were still bleeding and bandaged. I was very worried which was causing me to cry more. I found a clean spot on his forehead and lightly kissed him. I rested my head on my hand and wiped my tears that were coming to a stop. I was really lucky that my dad was alive, was really lucky that I was still alive. I fell asleep listening to my dad's rhythmic breathing. My mom woke me up later in the evening and forced me to leave my dad's side.

I refused, I wanted to stay with him until he was completely healed, but she wouldn't see to it. Maybe it really was time to go home.

As I jumped onto my bed and covered myself with blankets, I began to remember all of the events that had happened in the last two years. I remembered meeting Kan. I also remember the day that he was his happiest, the day he had left forever. I constantly think about all the things Kevin has said and done to me that has made me feel loved. I scare myself when I remember about the day I had wounded myself. All of the blood that had poured out onto the floor, multiple times. I also remembered the pain of being cut open multiple times. I could almost feel the stitches ripping again, even though know all that was left to remind me was a large scar.

I looked out the window and remembered Jessie's smile that led me through the dark. I missed her so much. I always wondered why she had stopped hanging out with Kevin and I, after all of the things I had done for her. I remembered the lights of the car that I was thrown in during my attempts to save Jessie from being kidnapped. I struggled so much to get out of that damn car, luckily I was able to do so. But Jessie, Jessie seems to regret ever meeting me. What would she have done if I wasn't there? She probably wouldn't have been around to witness my success in overcoming this depression of mine.

I looked at the fading sunlight that shined through the trees. The red and orange leaves were blown away by the wind, so were my memories. Nothing was left for me to contemplate. I had forgotten everything as I drifted into a deep sleep, dreaming only about sweet things.
