CHAPTER FOURTEEN PHONECALL

“Hello?”

“Jam! Nasaan ka na?! Sabin i Drake, may weird dawn a biglang kumidnap sa iyo. I’m already demanding an explanation from the security gurad why they let suspicious people inside the hotel at bakit di na-stop ang iyong abductor.”

“Kuya, si Chase yun.”

“Chase?! Your fiancé?! Isn’t that such a reckless thing to do?” grabe. Galit na talag yung kuya ko.

“Yes kuya.”

“What is that guy thinking?”

For some reason, parang gusto kong depensahan si Chase kay kuya. “Kuya, nang-harass kasi si Drake. Sinave niya lang ako from him.”

“Does that include him kissing you?”

“Who told you that?” sabi ko. Grabe naman! Ano siya, may informant?

He sighed. “Look Jam, I’m just concerned. We both didn’t know that guy last week then, suddenly malalaman kong he kissed you and sa hallway pa ng hotel where anyone could have easily seen you.”

“Kuya, he is my fiancé. Not some random attacker.”

“Which makes it even worse. Kasi you are just forced into this and it suddenly looks like you are in love.”

“Well, kung yan lang ang pinopoint mo, kuya, wala ka dapat ipag-alala. I’m not inlove with him.” Naiinis na din ako.

“Good.” then binaba niya yung phone.

Arrggghh!! Naka-frustate!!

“Sweetie, okay ka lang?”

“I’m fine. Pwede bang iuwi mo muna ko sa amin? I don’t feel so good.”

Tumango siya. He didn’t make any comment at na-appreciate ko naman yun. Then, binuksan niya yung car door for me at paglabas ko, hinug niya ako.

“I’m sorry, sweetie. Dahil sa akin, nag-away kayo ng kuya mo….” sabi niya sa akin.

“Bitaw!” I ordered him and bumitaw naman siya.

Hindi ko narinig yung pag-alis niya until I got to my room. Pagtingin ko sa labas, nakita ko nalang ay yung car niya na paalis na sa street namin.

Grabe. Bakit ba ayaw ni kuya sa kanya? Diba dapat ako ang tumutol dito?
