Chapter 16: My mistakes

I just couldn't handle it anymore, I kept fighting my tears but they just continued streaming down my face. "Maine ano na?!" Alden shouts at my face. I just couldn't keep it to myself anymore, I turned around to look at him. His face, shocked upon seeing me crying. I could see his eyebrows slowly parting from each other, "Maine, okay ka lang ba?" his tone of voice changes from anger to concern.

Although I wanted to just cry and tell him what I really felt, I had the feeling that this wasn't the time for it, and I wasn't about to forget and forgive him about all of this. I ignored his question and I started yelling back at him. "Kung tingin mo, isa lang akong taong madaling makuha, nagkakamali ka!" I stomped my way to him, I pointed my finger at his face, "kung kala mo, patay na patay ako sa'yo! Excuse me pero hiyang-hiya naman ako sa'yo, hinding-hindi ako nagkagusto sa'yo."

He bites his lips, and stared at the tiled floor, I think he was at the process of thinking whether to say sorry or to continue to argue with me. I was there angrily staring him down, as he looks at everything around him except me. Arghh! pikon na pikon na ako sa taong ito! After a few seconds he finally looks at me, and decided to choose the sorry route, and tried to explain himself. "Hindi ko... I didn't mean to do it, sana maintindihan mo na-"

If he thinks that I was about to listen to him, which I can remind him, sya nag nagsimula ng kaguluhan na ito, "if you think na papakinggan ko pa yang paliwanag,' I let out a small laugh, "don't even bother."

"Bakit?" he asked me as we both stare at each other's eyes, but it didn't have the same feeling as before, now we locked eyes out of anger and frustration. "Why don't I deserve to explain myself?" He questions my decision to not listen to him.

"Kasi I don't have the time for it." I simply told him.

Which just ended up making him become mad again, but now it was even more worse. "If I don't deserve to explain myself, then can you kindly explain your actions during our meet up, because I do have the time for that and I deserve an explanation to that."

"I don't have to explain anything to you, you started this whole mess." I avoided his question but he decided to be smart about it, he starts to bring up evidence that shows how much I was involved in this situation as well."

He starts laughing, I got more frustrated of how he's handling this, "Talaga, hindi mo kailangan mag explain?" I shook my head and clenched my fist, Rrr... masasapak ko na talaga ko. "Ahh okay sige,' he nodded his head, but he wasn't contented with my answer that's why he continues to ask me question. Sige nga paliwanag mo sa akin yung mga galaw mo pag magkasama tayo, yang mga pagpapacute mo sa akin, at higit sa lahat yung mga tingin mo, na kala ko meant something?" I could clearly hear in his voice that he too was hurting as much as I am in this argument.

I couldn't say anything, I was afraid to tell him why I did that, but at the same time I couldn't figure out why acted that way during our meeting. "Eh... kasi naman, at nung..." I tried speaking up but I can't even form a single sentence.

He butted in while I was speaking, "Ano ka ngayon? Nganga." he opens his mouth and points at it using his fingers.

Pak! It was just my instinct to do it and it felt like it was the right thing to do. I slapped my crush, my boss' grandson, I slapped Alden Richards straight on the face. "Napaka bastos mo!" I yelled at him who was still in shock from my hit. I wiped the last tear on my face, turned around, grabbed my bag, and finally left the kitchen.

When I entered the main area of the store I saw Rhianna who was standing behind the door, she probably saw the whole thing go down but, I didn't care I just wanted to leave. "Maine?" she quietly called out my name.
