So that day we leave, it was fun and quite spontaneous. I love it.
"I can't wait to get to Queensland, can you believe I've never been?" I say, and he chuckles as he turns onto the highway.
"Wow." He says and flicks on the radio. Some song from the 70's comes on and I laugh, it was ridiculous. Jai laughs with me, and the song changes to a slow romantic one. I look over at Jai, and he's grinning.
"Knock knock." He says.
"Oh god no." I say.
"Knock knock." He repeats.
"Who's there?"
"De Niro."
"De Niro, who? " I ask.
"De Niro I am around you, the more I looove you." He grins.
"You're an idiot." I roll my eyes.
"So, you've come on this trip to insult me?" I laugh and he smiles. This, this is nice. The joking, the smiling, the laughing.
"I love it when we're happy." I say and he agrees with me.
"Jai." I start.
"Yeeees." He says, concentrating on the road.
"I like you." I say and he smiles.
"Finally." He says. We cross the boarder about 5 hours later and celebrate for time travelling.
We arrive at a hotel at the Sunshine Coast and lugged our two bags up into the reception.
"Are there any rooms left?" Jai asks the the girl at the counter.
"Maybe." She says and stares down at the computer, every now and then looking up at Jai. Ugh, why do I have to have such an attractive boyfriend?
"There is a suite." She answers.
"Awesome." He says and looks back at me. He pays and then she hands over a key.
"We have a whooole suite! Sweet." Jai says, ironically as we enter the elevator. It takes us up to floor 17 and we walk through the hallway trying to find our room. We finally do and it's amazing. We have a beautiful view of the ocean and the beach.
"Looks like I'll have an excuse to teach you to surf." He says, hopeful.
"Hmm, yeeah." I say, just to make Jai happy. To be honest, I hate surfing, I'll play guitar and sing with Jai, but surfing is certainly a no.
"This is amazing." He says, happily and I venture around the room. I find a mini bar in the kitchen and an amazing spa in the bathroom.
"JAI! Mini bar and spa. What do you think?" I call out to him.
"AMAZE BALLS." He calls back as he walks into the room.
"Okay, lame." He smirks as I lift a miniature bottle of champagne out of the fridge.
"It's so small." I nod towards the bottle.
"It's called a mini bar for a reason." I fake laugh at his comment and he runs the spa as I get changed into my bikini. He just goes in his board shorts, which he's already wearing, and we lay in the spa.
"I don't feel like drinking tonight, I've never drunk before so yeah." He says.
"Come on, it's not that bad." I say and pop the mini cork off the mini bottle. I take a sip from it then he does. He contorts his face and shakes his head at the gross taste.
"Yeah lets not. Gross." He says and I laugh. We stop drinking and wait until our hands and feet turn wrinkly before getting out.
"We look like prunes." I laugh as I look at my hands.
"You've never done that before?" He asks.
"Never." He rolls his eyes and walks into the kitchen.
"Hey, you've never tasted alcohol and you're almost 17. Now look who hasn't lived." I say, and he play hits me on the shoulder, lightly.
"Warning, abusive boyfriend."
"Are you gunna pick on me the whole time?" He asks.
"Maybe." I say and he smiles. He leans across the kitchen table and kisses me. We hadn't had a proper make out session in 6 months or something and I feel Jai wanted to change that.
"You know we've been dating for two years soon." He says, and I smile. He kisses me again, and I pull away to talk.
"I can't believe it. Seems like only yesterday I was rejecting your ass." I say. I peck him on the cheek, and make us both sandwiches.
"So, did you bring any good going out clothes?" He asks, and I nod.
"Good. After a lovely walk on the beach at sunset, we're going out and eating at a restaurant." He says and skips into the bedroom. I have never seen a teenage boy skip like that, it was disturbing, yet oddly satisfying.
At about 5pm, we headed for the beach, weaving in between people retreating from the shore. By the time we started to walk back, hardly anyone was on the beach, except for an old couple sitting about twenty meters away and a family having early dinner at the picnic tables. Jai pulls me to the shoreline.
"No." I scream, and he laughs as he pushes me in. His feet, just in the water, I pull him in after me, he lands backwards next to me as I laugh. He gives me a long kiss, and I felt warm even though the water was freezing.
I usually cringe at the thought of PDA, but as the old couple watched us happily splash in the waves, I felt full and happy. We walk the rest of the way down the beach, dripping wet. Jai shakes his hair out and does the stereotypical 'Justin Bieber hair flick'. I look away as he flicks me with water.
"Oh please." I groan.
"What?" He asks.
"All the girls on the beach are looking at you now." I say, and he looks over at girl, wasting her time 'tanning' in a bikini.
"Well, luckily I only have eyes for you." He says as he picks me up under my butt. I lean down and kiss him, then he lets me down. We've done an awfully lot of kissing today, lucky you can't get pregnant through your mouth.
When we get back to the hotel, I have a shower, and start to get ready for dinner while Jai is in the shower. I put on my makeup first in my towel and the get dressed into a apricot dress. It was tight around my body then flared out at the bottom, with half sleeves.
I walk out into the kitchen, where Jai is waiting, his eyes widen and a smile is obvious on his face. He looks so damn hot.
