By The Way I'm Not Sure (Jai Waetford Fan Fiction)

Chapter 19 - Idiot

"Am I ugly?" I ask and Jai just stares at me through the darkness.

"No. Of course you're not. Why?" He says.

"The waitress in Starbucks that you were flirting with called me that." I say and he sits up.

"I was not flirting with her!" He says.

"Well, she sure as hell was trying to." I say and he sighs.

"Whatever." He says and in a few minutes his breath gets heavier, that's a big indication that Jai is asleep. I didn't find it easy, I was planning ideas on how to make myself prettier. I expected Jai to convince me that I am pretty and not stop until I believe him. What is with him lately? He's always been sweet one moment and an ass other times though, so why do I expect him to be different?

In the morning, I sit up in bed and like always Jai is already awake.

"Good morning." He says with a smile. He's being sweet again.

"Hi." I mumble, we sit in an awkward silence for a while before I speak.

"I'm gunna go get ready." I say and walk into the bathroom, I don't bother having a shower I just get changed, yes I keep my suitcase in the bathroom. I walk back into our room and sit on the bed.

"What time do we leave?" I ask him.

"In twenty minutes." He says and I run into the kitchen where I quickly have breakfast, after that we leave. When we get to the studios the employees there are very welcoming and friendly, we continue to walk through the building as a man rambles onto Jai about something that looks important, I guessed by the looks on their faces.

"Into here." The guy says and Jai and I enter the room. A whole table of people turn around to face us and I feel like I'm drowning. A flush of dizziness rushes over me. We sit down and the dizziness is accompanied by a headache.

"Excuse me, Jai." I say and rush out of the room. Jai follows after me.

"Hey. What's wrong?" Jai asks.

"I don't know." I say as I slump against a wall just outside of the room where the meeting is held.

"I think I'm going to go back to the hotel, I don't feel to good." I say and start to walk away.

"At least let me walk you back there or get my mum to pick you up."

"It's not far, I'll be fine." I say and leave the building. I felt better once I was outside. I kind of don't where I am so I call Alana to pick me up, 3 minutes go by and we're both back at the hotel.

"So, how's things between you and Jai?" She asks.

"Your son is kind of a pain." I say.

"Really? Is he being a bad boyfriend?" She asks. I shouldn't tell her, but I can't lie.

"He's not being bad." I say and she nods.

"But seriously, if he is giving you any trouble, tell me." She says and walks out of the kitchen. Okay.

For rest of the day, I just lounge around, bored out of my brains. As I am thinking about where Trent he walks in my room, dripping wet and only in board shorts.

"Did you go swimming?" I ask.

"Yeah." He shivers.

"It's like 10 degrees outside, are you crazy?" I ask and he nods. I give him a towel and make him have a hot shower. When he gets out we play a game of chess and then monopoly and Jai still isn't home so we play truth or dare.

"Truth or dare?" He asks me.

"Dare." I say.

"I dare you to break up with Jai."

"What? No!" I say and he lifts an eye brow.

"You were planning on doing it anyway." He says.

"How do you know that?" I asks, I'm kind of weirded out now.

"You are like a bloody book, you are really easy to read." He says and I roll my eyes while eating another cherry.

"Okay. Truth or dare?" I ask him.

"Truth."

"Who do you like?" I ask.

"You know Amanda."

"Oh, no. Don't even go there." I say and he laughs then Jai walks through the door, slamming the door behind him and storming in our room.

"I'll be back." I say and stand up. I walk into the room to find Jai sitting on his side of the bed, his face in his hands.

"What's wrong? Are angry because I left?" I ask.

"Not everything is about you Gemma." He says.

"Okay." I mouth so he can't hear me.

"Then what's wrong?" I ask.

"They want to cut my record deal short two years." He says, holding up two fingers.

"I said, can we hold off telling my fans? I want to tell them in my own time, they said 'sure'. They have my password for twitter." He says and I place my hand on my back and he slightly shakes.

"It's okay." I say and wrap my arms loosely around his neck, letting my hands drop into his.

"But before that Trent told me you were going to break up with me, so I got pretty pissed off about that and Sony just made it worse." He says.

"He told you what?!" I almost yell and run out into the lounge room where Trent is.

"You idiot! Why would tell him that? I'm not actually break up with him, you stupid bloody person." I yell, throwing pillows at Trent.

"I didn't think!"

"No, Trent you never think, you're a bloody idiot!" I say and Jai drags me away from him.

"It's okay." Jai whispers in my ear and I relax a bit. I turn around to face him and give him a big hug.

"I'm sorry."
