Scott woke up, smelling the faint scent of Chardonnay. He wrapped his arms loosely around the object next to him, pulling it in close to him so he could smell it further. He didn't know what it was from, but he knew it was familiar and wonderful. It made him feel safe for some reason. It was a very calming feeling... yet it felt very similar to a pillow. He opened his eyes, hoping to see the wonderful boy he dreamed of that night. The boy with the tattoos lining his arms. The boy who was so ticklish unless you touched him intimately. The boy whose lips lingered on his neck and chest from the places he lathered kisses. The boy whom he hoped he'd be hugging in the morning... yet it was only a pillow.

Scott felt the space next to him. He could've sworn he'd felt a body next to him. The dream felt so real... so tangible. Like he could reach out and touch his dream love. The space was warm like someone had been lying there. The shape of a body laid there mere minutes ago. His eyes were open now, looking around the room. He was still in this dream, wondering where his lover had gone. Yet there was no trace of him.

Scott sat up, rubbing his head. He was all too confused, but knew that shouldn't prevent him from carrying on with his day. He swung his legs around and as soon as they hit the floor he kicked something. He leaned down and saw a grande Starbucks cup. He looked at the side. It was marked to be a grande iced soy latte, triple shot. There was a name scribbled next to the boxes. Mitch.

He could only smile. He didn't completely know why... but he felt hopeful.

He glanced over at his bedside table and saw a DVD case with a small note on top. He picked it up and opened it, reading through the note.

Scott,

Hi. Don't be freaked out. But I slipped out before you could wake up this morning. I know you're reading this and thinking, what the hell? But it'll all make sense when you watch the DVD underneath this note. I had a wonderful day with you yesterday, and if you want to spend time with me today, I'll tell you all about it.

You're waking up soon. I've got to go.

<3 Mitch

P.S. Your snoring is the highlight of my night. It sounds like thunder. That's so attractive. ;) Thankfully I can sleep through anything.
P.S.S. Sorry that was mean. Your thunder snores were really cute.
