"Morning, Kirstinado." Scott slid a chilled mug over to the sleeping beauty, still fuzzy from just being pulled out of a dream. It was a Saturday and she didn't have to be at school, but she still woke up early according to anyone else who liked to sleep in. It was 8:03. There was still plenty of morning to be had.

"Morning, best friend." She yawned loudly and took the cold coffee cup in her hands and looked inside the cup and instantly frowned. "There's empty promises in here."

"I know. It's brewing. I just wanted you to be prepared." He chuckled and walked over to the fridge and pulled out some creamer. He knew she was an oddball. She liked her cup to be super cold, but the coffee to be very warm. It always cooled the coffee down a bit for her, so she'd keep the mug in the fridge over night so it would be ready for the morning. "So, what do you have planned today?"

"First, I want to wake up. After I wake up I think I want to take Olaf to the dog park, and maybe grab lunch with Jeremy, unless there's something else you want to do?" Her eyes were half closed, trying to adjust to the light in the kitchen.

"That's actually perfect. I've already got plans for the day." He'd stashed the items from the day before where he'd found them and put her room back to normal. It was as if he was never there. He kept a few things, but they'd remain hidden in his own spots. The Keurig finished brewing her coffee and he poured it into the glass, but not before pouring a bit of creamer and a dash of sugar into the empty cup. The contents mixed together and she took a sip, thankful for a best friend who was always on top of things. This was something she'd discovered over time - chilling her coffee cup over night. This was also something that Scott recently learned, and he would always try to help her in the mornings when he could, taking use of his new knowledge that he could retain.

"What are your plans?" She savored the drink and hung her head over it, letting the steam open her face up.

"Well, for starters, I already took my morning run, and with Olaf, too. I think he missed those mornings while I was gone, so he has been extra eager. And, after that, I've got lunch plans. Sort of. I haven't made them yet." He tapped on the table, a little nervous.

"Oh, who are you planning on meeting?"

"Him."

He slid a photo in front of Kirstin and she rubbed her eyes and was face to face with someone whom she'd been avoiding talking about. It was inevitable at this point. He seemed determined. "I'm going to meet him today. But I need to know where he is. You're going to help me with this. Please."

She took another moment to realize where the photo had come from. He clearly had found everything she'd hidden from him. She knew he would eventually, letting curiosity get the best of him. So, chances are he saw everything. Of course he was determined to meet Mitch. And she was sure that this might be a good thing now... it took her awhile, but she finally realized that he was back for good, and she could see him whenever she wanted.

"How can I help?"

"Text him. Ask him what he's doing for lunch today. Tell him you want to meet up with him to talk about some things... except it won't be you meeting him."

She did as she was told, actually a little excited for the outcome. It had been long enough. She'd snuck into the letter and read it, along with the extra video. She knew it would be okay... but she was afraid. She was afraid because she knew it would be real, and this time she'd finally get to watch it in action and would lose her best friend.

But she knew better. Mitch would make damn sure she'd still have her best friend time. It was just the fact that she'd become a big part of his life for those five years... but she'd always have him for years to come.

Mitch! can we have lunch 2day? It's important! Can we meet at McAlisters?

Sure. :) Meet u there at 12:30?

See u then. <3
