Lana's POV

"Lana." Matt said.

"Huh?" I said, turning to look at him.

"Your phone is ringing." He said smiling.

Well fuck, indeed it was and I reached into my purse, pulling it out.

"Hey." I said to Nick.

"Hey beautiful." He said and I couldn't help but smile. Beautiful.

"How are you?" I asked softly, turning to look out the window.

"I'm lonely Lana." He said. "Lonely without you."

I couldn't help but laugh, he was so cute. "You'll be okay."

"Hmm maybe. So what are you up to?" He asked.

"Currently we are crammed in a minibus  on the way out to The Grand Canyon." And as I told him my phone started getting crackly. "Nick, the service isn't good."

"Yeah." He said, I vaguely heard him over the static. "When will you be home, Monday?"

"Yes Monday." I said raising my voice so he heard me.

I glanced at Matt and he raised his eyebrow's at me, putting his finger to his lips. "Shhhh."

I stuck my tongue out at him. "Nick........Nick." But he was gone.

"Did it drop out?" Matt asked and I nodded. "Just call him when we get back into town." And of course he was right, I would call him then. "Get excited Lana." He said smiling. "We're about to take an awesome helicopter ride."

Yeah that was easy for him to say, I didn't think there was anything awesome about it at all and I was kind of hoping I could sit it out.

But no such luck as we arrived at our destination and Matt took my hand, dragging me onto the helicopter. I didn't look, I couldn't, but Matt, Brian and Johnny certainly enjoyed themselves and I was glad, after all I'd organised this weekend for them to have fun and I was glad they were.

"Oh my god Lana." Matt screeched at me, after we were done and the other's were up in the air. "That was so fucking amazing."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." I told him and I was, I was really glad.

"You're amazing Lana, honestly." He said hugging me and I hugged him back, but only briefly, I was still carrying out my plan of trying to get over Matt, but damn, he was making it so hard.

We had lunch and looked around for a while, but it was so hot and I was more than happy when we finally boarded the bus to head back to town. Once we arrived I would be straight into organising mode, ensuring everything was going ahead as planned and then I would spend a little time getting ready. I wasn't sure why I was bothering, I mean I could have worn a garbage bag, I was pretty sure all eye's would be on the other ladies tonight.

All the guy's headed out to the pool while I did my running around. I had to admit, I was excited and I knew Matt was going to have the time of his life and that's what I wanted.

By the time I got ready and went downstairs I was glad to see the guy's were into the swing of things. I walked into the room and looked around. The music was loud and they were all drinking. I smiled. I was glad.

I saw Matt and headed over, just as he threw back a shot. "Lana." He yelled smiling widely. "I was beginning to think you weren't coming."

"Yeah well." I said hugging him. "This thing didn't organise itself."

"No it didn't." He agreed. "Come one, let's get you a drink."

And I got a drink, and I got many more so by the time the food came out I was half way to being drunk and starving hungry and judging by the way everyone was stuffing their faces the food was good.
