Matt's POV
"So." Lana said, turning to me as soon as we walked in the door. "Can I actually do something now?"
I shook my head at her, the last few days had been driving her insane, sitting around, doing nothing.
"Well you heard what the doctor said Lana." I told her, walking into the kitchen.
She followed me, frowning. "Brian and Marty are coming over tonight."
"Lana." I said turning to her. "The doctor said he still wanted you to take it easy, at least for the next few weeks."
"I know." She said softly, going to the fridge.
We'd just returned from Lana's follow up appointment after our mad dash to the hospital the other night. The doctor seemed happy with anything, the baby was doing fine, he just wanted Lana to take it easy for a few weeks and I wanted Lana to take it easy for a few weeks. She needed to look after herself and she needed to look after our baby.
"It's okay." I said, kissing her forehead. "They can come over and we can order out or something." I told her. "That way you can still rest."
"I'm sick of resting." She moaned. "I'm sick of sitting around, aren't you?"
I smiled. "I don't mind." I said. "I mean I get to hang out with you and it's for our baby."
"I know it's for the baby." She said softly, turning back to the fridge and pulling out a water. "It's just boring."
"What?" I asked. "Do I bore you?"
She turned back around and rolled her eye's at me. "Honestly." She said heading into the living room.
I grabbed a water and followed, I could understand where she was coming from and I guess I would have to find some things to entertain her.
"What time are Brian and Marty coming over?" I asked her, walking in.
She was laying on the couch and she looked up at me. "I don't know, around 4 or 5."
I opened my water and took drink before putting on the coffee table. "Can I fit?" I asked her.
"I guess." She said, smiling as I took my shoes off.
I joined her, laying on the couch and I wrapped my arms around her, holding her to my chest.
"Can we tell Brian and Marty?" She asked, looking at me.
"I don't know." I said. "I mean should we wait a few weeks, maybe tell our parents first?"
"My mom already knows." She said quietly, looking away.
I kissed her forehead again. I wasn't surprised that she'd told her mother, I guess girls always turned to their mother when they needed someone.
"So your mom knew before me?" I asked her. It still bugged me a little that she hadn't told me straight away, but I understood why she didn't and I meant it when I told her Courtney would not be bothering us anymore.
"Yeah." She said softly. "I wasn't sure what to do, it was a little scary."
"I wished you told me." I whispered.
"Me too." She murmured. "I am sorry Matt."
I smiled and kissed her softly. "It's okay Lana."
Kissing her was a bad idea because when I kissed her she responded by pushing herself against me, entwining her legs with mine.
"Lana." I murmured softly against her lips.
"Hmm?" She whispered, running her hand up the back of my shirt.
"Stop teasing me." I murmured.
She pulled back and looked at me. "I'm not teasing you." She said. "I'm just loving you."
"God I want to love you." I murmured, kissing her again. "Can we, I mean is it okay?"
"Can you be gentle?" She murmured, smirking.
"Oh baby, I can be very gentle."
She smiled, standing up and holding out her hand, I took it and followed her into the bedroom.
I couldn't get out of my jeans fast enough, but like I promised Lana, I was gentle and we took it slowly. It was senfuckingsational and after I laid on my back staring at the ceiling, wondering how the fuck I got so lucky.
"I wonder what it will be like when we have the baby?" Lana murmured, laying her head on my chest. I was glad to see she looked as happy as me.
"Quick Lana." I said smiling. "I imagine it will have to be quick."
"I don't mind." She said smiling. "Slow, quick, I like it just the same."
I liked it just the same too and as I laid there, with Lana sleeping in my arms I realised how lucky I was. I was truly lucky that I had Lana, I really was.
We napped for a little while then got up, having a shower before Brian and Marty arrived. Lana wanted us all to sit outside so I went out and made sure it was ready, the weather was starting to warm up again and I was happy to start using the backyard again.
Marty and Brian finally arrived, closer to 5 than four, but we all got a drink and sat outside.
"No wine Lana?" Marty asked her, frowning.
Lana raised her eyebrow's and I butt in. "Lana had some bug for a few days, so she's letting her stomach settle." I just still wasn't sure about telling anybody yet.
"Oh yuck." Marty said screwing her face up. "So." She said looking at Brian. "Are you going to tell them?"
When she said that, just for a second I thought Brian and Marty were going to tell us they were expecting and I was madly trying to think what I could say.
"We bought a house." Brian said smiling. "Just around the corner."
"Oh my god." Lana said hugging Marty. "That's great."
"I know." Marty said. "Now I can walk over and see you."
"Now we can have a baby." Brian added, raising his eyebrows at Marty.
Marty smiled at him and I couldn't help myself, I really wanted everyone to know.
"We have some news too." I told them and I looked at Lans smiling.
"Oh god." Marty cried. "Don't tell me you're moving?"
I laughed, shaking my head. "Nope, we're having a baby."
"You are?" Marty asked wide eyed and Lana nodded.
Marty burst into tears, hugging Lana.
"Oh my god Lana." She cried. "This is so good."
"It is." Lana said smiling widely.
It was good, no it was fucking great. I had Lana, we had our baby and for the millionth time in my life I thanked God that when I was seven I'd decided to go say hi to Lana. I didn't even want to imagine a life without her in it.
