Matt's POV
We had a great day, honestly and it was nice just hanging out with the guy's. Don't get me wrong, I missed Lana and I did wish she was here with me, but I still had fun anyway.
I was surprised when we headed back stage to see Lana already there, she hadn't called me or anything to let me know she was here, but she did say she knew I'd show up here sometime.
When I first walked back there and saw Lana, I stopped for a moment. She was standing there talking to Jenna and Rachel, laughing, and she took my breath away, she was just so beautiful and I thought to myself as I walked over to her, she was mine.
The show was great, the crowd incredible and I enjoyed the night, but I always did knowing Lana was at the side of the stage, watching me. When I came off I did what I always did, I went straight to her.
The list of things I loved about Lana was long, but one thing I really loved, she was always happy to love me when I came off of the stage. I loved that, that she didn't mind the sweat.
"You coming for a drink?" Brian asked as we finished up backstage.
"Yeah, I could use a beer." I told him and it was true, I could and I didn't think Lana would mind.
"Cool, well I'll meet you at the bar." He told me and I agreed.
I grabbed my gear and headed back out to Lana, she was standing there, frowning.
"Hey." I smiled, putting my arm around her waist. "Do you mind if we have a quick drink before we go up to the room?"
"Hmm, no." She said quickly, her eye's darting around.
She was quiet on the ride back to the hotel and as we went into the bar and saw everyone there waiting I knew something was wrong, it was the way she just walked over quietly and sat next to Jenna without saying a word to me.
"Do you want something to drink?" I asked her softly and she shrugged.
"A water I guess."
Yep, something was bugging her. Sometime between me seeing her after the show and when I went to collect my stuff, something had happened, her mood was completely different.
I got the drinks and placed her water in front of her, leaning down and kissing the top of her head. I would only have one beer, then I would take her up to the room. Maybe she was just tired.
"Where's Marty?" I asked Brian as I made my way over to him.
He frowned. "She didn't feel like coming."
I nodded, and admittedly, it was nice without Marty here, glaring at everybody.
As promised, I only had one beer, said goodnight to everyone, then went over to Lana.
"Ready babe?" I asked her and she nodded, standing up.
I slipped my arm around her waist as we walked to the elevator and as we stepped inside I pulled her closer, kissing her forehead.
"Tired?" I asked her softly and once again she only nodded in reply.
I let us into the room and Lana headed straight for the room, grabbing her stuff.
"I'm going to shower." She said softly, heading into the bathroom.
I watched her, thinking, but I really had no idea what was bothering her. I grabbed my stuff and headed into the bathroom as well.
I pulled off my clothes, getting in.
"It's all yours." Lana said and she promptly got out.
That was it. She was going to tell me what was wrong, whether she wanted to or not.
I finished up my shower quickly and by the time I got out Lana was in bed, laying on her side.
"Okay Lana." I said, climbing on the bed and curling up behind her. "Out with it."
"Out with what?" She whispered.
"Out with what is bothering you." I murmured. "I know something is wrong, talk to me babe, tell me what it is."
She shook her head and I heard her sniffle.
"Lana." I whispered. "Are you crying?" And she nodded. "Babe, please, tell me."
She turned over and buried her face in my chest and I held her close.
"It's Marty." She cried. "She's so horrible."
"What happened?" I asked her, kissing her softly. "What did she say this time?"
Lana looked at me and wiped her face. "She said why would you marry me when you had a habit of leaving women at the altar."
I would say I was shocked, only with the way Marty had been acting lately I really wasn't surprised, but I was pissed, boy was I pissed.
"She said that?" I snapped, looking at Lana. She nodded, looking back at me. "You know that's not true right?" And she nodded again.
"I know Matt." She said quietly. "It just wasn't very nice hearing it."
"That's it." I snapped, getting out of the bed and grabbing a pair of sweat pants. "I've had enough of this shit Lana, I really have."
Lana looked upset. "Where are you going?" She asked me, sitting up.
"I'll tell you where I'm going." I said, leaning over and kissing her quickly. "I'm going to see Marty, because I am done with her shit, now she's purposely saying shit Lana and I've had enough."
I turned, grabbing one of the keys and headed out the door, heading straight to the elevator. I got in and when it arrived on the floor, I marched straight to the door I wanted, banging on it.
"Matt." Brian said, looking surprised. "What's up?"
"What's up." I snapped, and I could see Marty, standing there with her arms crossed. "You want to know what's wrong, your wife is what's wrong. I've had enough of her and the way she speaks to Lana, you know what she said this time?" I asked him and he was standing there looking at me with wide eye's. "This time she told Lana that I wouldn't marry her because I had a habit of leaving girls at the altar."
I watched Brian's face and his expression said it all. He had no idea that she'd said it and he was pretty pissed about it himself.
"And you." I yelled, pointing at Marty. "Stay the fuck away from Lana, I mean it."
"Matt, look." Brian said, grabbing my arm and pulling me away, closing the door behind us. "I am so sorry, honestly I am."
"You're not the one who needs to apologise Brian."
"I know, but look." And I watched his shoulders sag. "I'll talk to her." He said and right then I knew, their marriage was in trouble. Whatever was wrong with Marty was destroying Brian.
"Fine." I said. "But tell her to stay away from Lana, I mean it."
He agreed and I turned, heading back to the elevator.
I let myself back in and headed straight for the bedroom. Lana was laying there, staring up at the ceiling.
"Right." I said, climbing on the bed. "Look at me Lana." And she turned her head, looking at me. "It's not true, you now it's not true." I told her softly. "Lana I can't wait to marry you and I can assure you I will not be leaving you at the altar, hell I'll probably be there the night before waiting." She smiled at me. "I love you Lana and I want to spend to my life with you okay?"
"Okay." She whispered softly and I leant over kissing her.
"Now, let's sleep." I told her, turning the lights off.
We got comfortable in bed, Lana wrapped in my arms. This was where I wanted to be and contrary to what Marty said, I wouldn't give Lana up for anything in the world.
