Chapter 80

Martina's POV

"Is everything ready?" Brian asked me, walking out the back.

I looked around. "It certainly is."

"Good, everyone should start arriving soon." He told me smiling, he just looked so proud.

"They will."

"Let's have a quiet drink before they get here." He said, leaning over and kissing me.

I agreed and he wandered over to the bar he had set up, getting me a wine and him a beer. We both sat down, looking around, thinking.

Tonight was our house warming party. Finally we'd moved in. It had taken a lot longer than what we'd first anticipated, two months to be exact, but finally we were here, all moved in and settled. It was Brian's idea to have the party, but I'd agreed. It would probably be the last get together we all had before the guy's went back on tour.

"Are you happy?" He asked me, looking at me and I smiled and nodded, of course I was, I was married to my soul mate.

The doorbell interrupted us and Brian got up to answer it, a short time later he came back out followed by Zack and Rachel and I jumped up, ensuring they each had a drink. I'd planned on playing the hostess tonight, after all it was my house.

As usual Brian had basically invited everyone he knew, so pretty soon the backyard was full and as I looked around I was pleased to see everyone enjoying themselves.

"Where's Matt and Lana?" Brian asked, suddenly appearing at my side.

I shrugged. "I have no idea."

"They're coming right?" He asked and I looked at him like he was stupid.

"Of course they're coming Brian." I said. "They live like two minutes away."

It was quiet handy them living so close and Lana and I had been spending a lot of time together, especially now that she'd given up her job.

"Oh wait." Bri said, grabbing my arm. "Here they are now, always late."

I looked over to see Matt and Lana walk through the back door, smiling, holding hands. They looked really happy and from what Lana had told me their relationship was going great.

Lana walked towards me and smiled. "Hi."

"Hi, can I get you a drink?" I asked her and then I glanced at her stomach, realising I'd asked her a really dumb question. "I mean a juice or something."

"Sure Marty, a juice would be nice." And she smiled at me.

I turned and headed inside to grab some juice for Lana. She was beginning to look pregnant now, she had a tummy and she glowed, pregnancy suited her so much.

I took a deep breath, grabbing her a drink and heading back outside, smiling. Lana was standing there talking to Rachel and Matt had wandered off to talk to the other guys.

"So are you coming?" I heard Lana ask Rachel as I approached them.

"Where?" I asked handing Lana her drink.

"On the tour." Lana explained.

Lana and I were both going on this tour, I mean as if Matt was going to let Lana out of his sight anyway.

"Actually." Rachel said smiling. "I am. I only found out today that I've gotten the time of work."

"That's great." I told her smiling and it was, Lana and I both liked Rachel. "It's going to be fun."

"I hope so." She added smiling and I knew it would be.

We were heading to Europe first and I was pretty excited about that, I absolutely loved Europe so much. I stood there trying to remember if Lana had been to Europe, I knew she'd been to a few places, but I couldn't recall her ever meeting us in Europe. Last time we were in Europe Matt had still been with Courtney.

"Yeah I'm looking forward to Europe." Lana said smiling softly. "Actually I'm looking forward to the whole tour."

I had to agree with her, I was looking forward to it as well, I needed a little break and this would be perfect.

The whole night was great, we had plenty of food and plenty of drink and everyone enjoyed themselves. The later the night got, the drunker everyone got and I was glad to see everyone having a great time.

I myself was pretty drunk and I was considering going to bed, I'd had enough and I sat down, finishing my drink when I looked over and saw Matt and Lana standing there, talking. He was smiling down at her and she was looking at him. He was saying something to her then he leaned over and kissed her softly.

That was it, it pushed me over the edge and I sat there quietly in my seat crying.

"Babe." Brian said, suddenly appearing. "What's wrong?"

"It's not fair." I sobbed, wiping my face.

He followed my gaze to Matt and Lana. "Marty." He said softly.

"What." I cried. "It's not Brian, it's just not fair."

He reached over and pulled me to his chest. "I know baby."

I closed my eyes and cried for a little bit, before pulling away and looking up at him.

"How come Brian." I cried softly. "How come they can have a baby, they had sex once and she ends up pregnant, we try for months and nothing."

"Marty, I'm pretty sure they had sex more than once." He said, trying not to smile.

I slapped his arm. "You know what I mean, they weren't even trying."

"Marty it will happen for us babe." He said softly, pulling me back to his chest. "You'll fall pregnant."

"It's not fair." I whispered, because to me it wasn't. "And she looks so fucking good and happy."

"Aren't you happy?" Brian asked, looking a little upset.

"Yes I'm happy." I told him. "I've never been happier."

"Good." He murmured kissing me softly.

"I'm drunk baby." I murmured. "I'm sorry and I'm just going to go to bed."

"Okay." He whispered, kissing me softly. "And it will be okay baby."

"Say goodnight to everyone for me."

"I will." He said smiling, watching me get up and walk inside.

I didn't want to say goodnight to everyone because my mood had plummeted. I didn't hate Lana for being pregnant, I was ecstatic that Lana and Matt were so happy, I really was, it's just that Brian and I were trying and trying and nothing was happening and to me it just seemed unfair but I was doing my best not to show it.
