Edward smiled when I got out of the truck. He walked over and slung his arm around my shoulders in a big-brotherly way. I folded my arms over my chest to keep out the cold and followed everyone else up the sidewalk and into a Starbucks. Alice ordered a salted caramel mocha and paid, I hung back with Edward.

"So, Alice thinks that we'll be able to get everything done by tomorrow night." He said casually. "What do you think, little human?" He joked lowly.

I shrugged; "You'll never catch me betting against Alice." I grinned. He chuckled lowly and I noticed that Rosalie and Emmett were in the next store over looking at paints. Jasper and Edward were talking about the three large bookstores in the complex and Alice was waiting for the mocha.

"Edythe," Jasper said. I looked up at him. "You play guitar, right?"

I narrowed my eyes at him and stubbornly said "No." I didn't want them spending more money on me.

Edward laughed. "Liar."

Jasper smirked, "I only ask because they're having a sale and we have coupons."

Edward nudged me, a crooked grin on his face. "Ugh, just... the cheapest one there, okay?" I mumbled, fighting the smile on my face.

Alice came skipping over and handed me the mocha. I sighed and took it. "You missed breakfast, Edythe." Alice frowned. "We're going to have to remember that."

"I hate to say it but this-" I pointed to the coffee, "-is better than breakfast."

Alice scrunched up her nose. "It doesn't smell good."

I shrugged, taking a sip. "Regardless... thanks for the coffee."

"You're welcome!" Alice smiled brightly and practically dragged me out of the store. "Okay, you guys head to the furniture store and then the bookstores. Rose and Emmett already got the paint. We'll meet you at the foodcourt in four hours."

"Alright," Jasper kissed Alice before walking away with Edward right behind him.

Alice had me in tow as we met with Rosalie who was watching Emmett lug four gallons of paint to the Volvo. "Ready?" Rosalie asked, smiling a similar smile to the one Alice wore.

"I'm not sure," I joked a little. "You guys are starting to scare me."

"About time!" Alice said. "I thought we were going to have to take you to see us hunt to get you scared!" I took another sip of the coffee and followed Alice and Rose into the first store that I didn't bother looking at the name of.

Alice and Rose only made me try on the things I was hesitant about. Mostly it was the dresses and a few leggings but for the most part I trusted them enough. Alice insisted on going into an underwear store but I refused.

"I'm fifeteen," I huffed. "I don't go into Victoria's Secret."

"Are you a fifteen year old boy?" Alice scoffed.

Rose came to my rescue. "You go ahead, Alice-I'll take her to Bare Minerals." Alice nodded and gracefully made her way to the store. Rose led me to the makeup store and took her time finding shades of pink that would look good on me. "You don't wear makeup usually, do you?"

"Not really," I said as she brushed some eyeshadow on the back of my hand. "I wear black eyeliner and mascara."

"Alice won't let you leave the house anymore after this until you have makeup on." Rose warned, putting several containers into the basket. She closed her eyes and mouthed something. "Sorry, Alice gave me a very long list of things to get."

"Oh," I said. I tried not to look the the prices of things-Alice warned that the more I refuse, the longer we'll be here. "Joy."

"You don't shop much, do you." Rosalie mused.

"Not for clothes and makeup and stuff," I said as she picked up a tube of pale pink lip stick. "But I go to the Barnes and Noble whenever I can."

"The boys should be there by now, actually." Rose said, glancing at her watch briefly before going back to the lipstick. She grabbed specific colors (some light and some dark) and put them in the basket on her wrist. "I think Jazz and Emmett will have to run home." She said with an amused smile.

"Dang," I mumbled.

"Alice had a vision of you, like, a few years ago and has been waiting ever since." Rose told me. "We all have."

I could feel the blood rush to my cheeks in embarrassment. "Uh, thanks...?" I said, unsure of what to say.

Rosalie laughed. "We're all glad you're here, you know." I swear she was trying to see how dark I could go.
