As promised, Edward met me outside of the class door. He glared at a few boys before smirking at me. "So, Water. isn't good enough last words, hmm?"
"I was going for sentimental and heart-wrenching." I said dramatically, putting a hand on my chest.
"Yeah well, Mr. Jefferson was impressed." Edward said, leading me to my locker first. "Aren't you glad we made you practise first?"
"Sure, whatever," I rolled my eyes. "It's a step up from Alaska, down here." I smirked. Edward snorted a laugh before letting me put my stuff away.
"Oh you're so slow, Edy!" Emmett's booming voice came from behind me.
"It happens, Emmy," I said with a cocky smile.
"You and Edward were cut from the same cloth, I swear." Rosalie smiled.
"She's having a little too much fun with it." Edward said.
"She's doing it so flawlessly you can't even complain." Jasper commented.
"It is really just called 'being yourself' but okay." I rolled my eyes and closed my locker, following them with with a book in hand.
"Pizza today for lunch." Alice said. "You like pizza, right Edy?"
"Pizza is acceptable, I guess." I shrugged.
"You will be eating." Edward said, dragging out a thought that I saw as a complication.
"Wouldn't that defeat at the purpose of blending in with you guys?" I asked. "Besides, that smoothie was really filling."
Alice frowned and shared a look with Edward. "If you eat early tonight." Alice decided. "But you really should eat lunch, Edythe."
"Yeah, Edythe," Emmett added. "Really, you eating isn't going to sent up any red flares."
"That's not completely true..." Alice trailed off, her eyes were glassy. She seemed to snap out of it as Edward gave he a hard look. "Sorry. But really, Edythe, you didn't have that much for breakfast."
"Well I'm not going to waste food if I'm not going to eat it." I said pointedly.
"That really bugs you, hmm?" Edward said. I've been explaining more and more through my thoughts and I'm guessing that now he understands just how parallel our worlds are.
"Possibly more so than anything else," I said.
"Alright then," Jasper said. "We won't get food. We usually don't so it won't raise to much suspicion." Jasper nudged me as we came closer and closer to the cafeteria door. "You're lucky we love you, Edy."
"Right back at you, Jazz," I grinned.
Alice squealed. "One big happy family! Finally!" She tackled me in a hug.
"I knew there was a reason we were so incomplete before." Rose mused, hugging me after Alice. My face flushed a deep red.
"Oh no!" Alice said, grinning slightly. "No crying, Edy! We don't cry; you don't cry."
"Got it," my voice was strangely high. Never had a real family before. I thought. I really like it. Even Dad wasn't always there. I smiled. This is really nice.
We we had sat down at their regular seats, Edward shifted his chair closer to me; giving me a brief hug. "We're not going anywhere."
