As promised, Alice decided that I didn't have enough things and took me to three more stores before Rose said that we should be good for now. For now. I huffed and struggled to keep up with them as we made our way back to the truck. The boys had headed back after we met at the food court had more than enough time to get whatever they needed done. It was eight in the evening before we were pulling out the the parking lot.

"Today was a good day," Alice said simply. "We got a lot done."

"Today was tiring," I muttered. "But thank you so much for everything."

Rose and Alice both waved it away. "You're family, now, Edythe," Rose reminded me. "Family doesn't let family wear the same clothes more than twice." I snorted a laugh at that.

Alice had Rose pull into a Wendy's on the way home and ordered a chilli and soda. She was serious about having to remember to feed me. I almost laughed at that though because I was more than capable of feeding myself.

"Sorry Edythe," Rose said. "We do too much. We've never had to worry about eating before."

"You guys are fine," I said. "I'll let you know if I starve." I teased.

"Please do!" Alice said. "I'd hate it if we starved you."

"You guys are fine," I promised. I wasn't too hungry and took my time eating the chilli. I noticed that Rosalie was driving slower and I mentally thanked her; I felt like we were going to crash last time.

I think I fell asleep because when Rose was pulling into the hidden drive sooner than I thought possible. I noticed that my room faced the back so I couldn't see what was going on. All I knew was there were lots of boxes in the yard that seemed to have been thrown out of a window.

"Edward said that you all had a good day," Esme said, coming out of the house as I groggily got out of the car. "The paint is still a little wet." She came over and pulled me into a gentle hug. I hugged back, noticing that I was five inches shorter than her.

"That's fine," Rose said. "We're just going to put everything away."

Alice nodded, "She can sleep in my room. I set everything up already." I opened my mouth to say that I'd help them put it all away but Alice cut me off. "You can help by sleeping, okay Edythe?" Rose agreed so I just nodded and let Esme lead me upstairs.

Alice's room was the first door on the right after you get up the stairs. She set up a few blankets on her couch and pulled the curtains for me so I just washed my face and climbed on to the couch, too tired to ignore noises coming from.
