Lunch could not of come soon enough. All throughout Art, Alice apologized until I said that I wouldn't forgive her if she apologized again. It was, of course, all a tease and Alice knew that. I was glad when lunch finally rolled around to see what everyone else thought about what I had done. I was mostly curious about what Edward would say because from what Alice, he didn't know until he heard it.

Mr. Mason treated us with a movie because everyone's grades were "better than last time's". It was the old, 1931 version of Dracula to go with our recently completed unit of Bram Stoker's Dracula. I was insanely grateful that I had a whole desk to myself all the way in the back; it gave me time to study for tomorrow's Geometry test; Mr. Varner said I didn't have to take it and if I did poorly on it, he wouldn't count it but he and I both knew he was expecting a high grade because I had come back from 'Mason's Academy for the Gifted'.

The movie would only take today and tomorrow to finish and had a worksheet to go with it. I was glad that I've seen Dracula more times than anything because my Dad loves old movies. I would finish the sheet in Study Hall.

Edward didn't meet me outside of my classroom like he usually does and I brushed it off. Alice was the only one waiting for me outside of the cafeteria doors, I tried to downplay it but I could tell she knew I was put-off by it.

Edward sat next to Emmett and Jasper, leaving me and Alice to sit in between Rose and Jasper. Alice motioned for me to sit next to Jasper and I noted that when I sat down, he pulled the chair closer to him and put his stiff arm around the back of it to hold Alice's hand.

It was awkward, to say the least. Rose shot me an apologetic look before Edward hissed with a cold glare "What happened to sticking with the plan, Edythe?" His black eyes made everything worse; I couldn't tell if he was really mad at me or if it was the thirst adding to his irritation.

"Edward," Alice growled lowly.

"No, Alice; it would have been better if you let me in on it. If you told us." Edward's voice was low and deadly. I couldn't tell if Emmett, Jasper and Rosalie shared the same anger or not but they kept quiet. I could feel the tendons coming out from Jasper's forearms but I wasn't sure what caused it; me and Alice, Edward or just being here. "We could have avoided it."

"If Edythe didn't sent Bella over to Eric Yorkie," Alice said in a dangerously calm voice that clearly said that she would express her anger if he pushed her too hard, "Then she wouldn't have met with the people she's sitting right now and she'd be over here sitting with us. By the time I knew, it was too late. Let it go, Edward, or leave."

Alice's last statement left my mind whirling; if Edward left now, Bella wouldn't have to think that he left because of her. I would be there, I could ignore her enough to get by the hour or if Edward did somehow manage to switch Biology classes (which I knew was impossible) we wouldn't have to deal with her at all.

The tension at the table was building up as Edward and Alice had a stare down. What Edward said left me wondering if I did do the wrong thing. I lowered my gaze to the table and waited for the bell to ring to signal the five minute-warning for the next class' beginning. I felt extremely uncomfortable and hoped that time would pick up its pace.

It was silent for the rest of the lunch hour. Not Edward or Alice said another thing, Emmett didn't dare to make a joke or Rose to complain about Bella. Jasper's arm never relaxed. I felt out of place; like it was a bad idea to be here in the first place but quickly countered myself with one bad day can't overrule multiple days of good if you don't let it.

Edward did wait for me at my locker to get my Biology things but the walk was awkward and silent. We brushed past people in the halls and I was surprised that I hadn't tripped on myself, yet. When we sat in our seats, Edward was just as stiff as described in the books. But this time, with anger and irritation and (possible) hate instead of bloodlust. He relaxed considerably and sighed after an uncomfortable and silent minute.

"I'm sorry, Edy," he said. "You and Alice were right; you did do the right thing. Thank you."

I relaxed at his words. "It's fine. I get it; you're thirsty and agitated."

"That's no excuse." Edward retorted. He was right; it wasn't but I wasn't going to be mad at him for it. "Am I forgiven?" He asked. I had to give him points for swallowing his pride; he never seemed to do that in the books.

"You're forgiven," I shrugged. "Am I?"

"Most definitely; I should have never been mad at you."

Bella Swan walked in then, passing the heater and making her way to Mr. Banner. He pointed to us and she nodded, her eyes widening as she gazed at Edward. She tripped on the way to the desk, like she did in the books. Edward was completely relaxed.

"She smells like a wet dog," he breathed in my ear. He paused before adding "I'll explain why later." I nodded.

"Uh, hi, Edith," Bella said, her eyes flickering to me before she practically fell in her seat still staring at my 'brother'. She still said my name wrong, too.

"Hello, Bella," I said politely, opening up my notebook for notes.
