Hey everyone. I just saw Fantastic Four (2015) and here's my review.

Well, first off, the header of the poster attached should've set off some alarms. Second, I can see where the hate is. Overall, I don't like the young casting they went with on this one, it's so disappointing. But let me go in depth with each character.

First off, Mr. Fantastic. I don't like his actor selection, although he can pull it off, the actor's face just doesn't scream "Reed Richards." He was alright acting as him though, I just think someone else could've done better.

Next is Invisible Woman. I like her actress, she seems fit for the role, she even said she loves being Invisible Woman. But again, she's young, and that's the only thing I can hold against her....oh and I don't like how they made her adopted in the movie, but I'll talk about that in a few.

The Thing. I can't stress this enough, he's young. But he could make a pretty good Ben Grimm, in terms of acting. He may need to shave his head and grow some facial hair though. Good actor, looks don't match though. But when he became his rocky-self, that was awesome. It was perfect! I loved it, it was more accurate than the original movies'- he was rocky to the core, he was actually big, he was stronger, and his face detail was a mirror image of the comics! The old Thing focused more on making the Thing look like his actor.....BUT, one criticism....The Thing didn't have pants in the movie....the closest The Thing has gone as far as nudity were shorts that were boxers-high....just a little inaccuracy I thought I'd point out.

Human Torch.....well, let me explain something. I like how they introduced the father for the first time in the movie....but he really didn't help with the movie at all. And another thing- (I promise there's an explanation, don't hate yet please!) they made Human Torch black. We all know originally he's white, and to be honest, I'd prefer that, especially since there has never been a black Human Torch. I don't hate him because he's black (to be honest, Michael B. Jordan definitely knew how to be Human Torch, but not look like him though), I hate this Human Torch, because of what the company decided to do with him. And he's also young! I'M SAYING THIS NOW, IN BOLD: I DON'T HATE BLACK SUPERHEROES/VILLAINS/ANTI-HEROES/ANTI-VILLAINS! But I do hate when they're changed dramatically. Trust me, if you know Cyborg from Teen Titans, I love him (BOO-YAH), I'd make another rant like this if they made him any other race (even my race- Puerto Rican). I love John Stewart Green Lantern (the black one), I was actually really upset to find out there was a white one (Hal Jordan) and that the white one is the original. Heck, let me tell you, when they reboot the Green Lantern movie, they better use John Stewart, they already ruined their chances at Hal Jordan (nothing personal Ryan Reynolds, just business)!

So when I found out they changed Human Torch, I was upset. I mean, hey, they found someone who can act like him though, but little did they know, that this movie wasn't going to be Michael B. Jordan's big breakthrough (hint-hint: It was Creed!) And, for those who wondered why Fox Studios made Human Torch and his dad black, and Invisible Woman adopted, was because the Fantastic Four was considered "one of the first American superhero families." But since then, America and American families have changed a lot since then. So the creators thought as a symbol of "modern-day America," they needed to update the Fantastic Four family to a "modern-day American family." Thus, we got a mixed family, with one adopted. And even though I wouldn't have wanted this, I highly respect the thought....but at least make a comic about it before doing this? And depending on its success, then decide if it should be a movie or not. Ok...one more character review left.

Dr. Doom! Well....the actor was young....but man he did pretty good at being a cocky villain, hence Victor Von Doom. And actually being Doom was pretty good. When he changed to Doom, I literally forgot he was young while he was acting. This Doom was pretty good, the potential of his true power was greatly recognized in this readaptation (although, a bit exaggerated for Dr. Doom without enhancements). Now, I really don't like how he became Doom, in fact I don't like how anyone got their powers. The Fantastic Four got their powers in space, from radiation- not a whole different dimension! But let me touch on that later. Doom's appearance angered me, because it wasn't his special armor (oh it's special, trust me, sometimes movies leave out more info than you think!), he practically was an armor that was possessed! I didn't like that approach at all, but other than that, it sort of felt like Dr. Doom.....sort of.

So, the moral of the story, Fox Studios decided to go with "modern" over "accurate." Honestly.....the movie just as a generic, watch-for-fun movie, wasn't that bad. Had that been any other movie, it wouldn't have been too bad. The special effects were pretty good. All the characters' abilities were accurate, Invisible Woman did more with her powers, Human Torch looked better and the way his fire went on and off was how I'd imagine Human Torch to be. Mr. Fantastic fought a little bit more in this one rather than being a little goofy like before (although, that would've lightened up the movie a bit), The Thing was almost perfect....they must've lost his pants during production.....and Dr. Doom was a little less than perfect, his appearance and slightly exaggerated power degraded his value. But such pretty effects were expected of from the brains of the X-Men. Yet effects didn't save the movie. It wasn't the worst watch ever as a generic movie....but this wasn't a generic movie, it was the Fantastic Four.....despite what I think of this movie, it surely does not deserve such a title. Sorry Fox, you didn't cut it.

Now here's something guys, a sequel to this movie was planned.....but the movie's money didn't hit their expectations. Kate Mara (Invisible Woman) said she doesn't believe there will be a sequel...this is something to consider since she actually loves her role. In November 2015, the movie's sequel was removed from Fox Studio's release schedule. Doesn't mean it's entirely cancelled, it just means they don't know what to do with it now.....

A potential thought for Fant4stic, from Fox is to have a crossover with their hit saga- X-Men.....
This is typical of a superhero movie, but I don't think it'd work. And man, they surely have the decency to use comic-book logic to explain their biggest flaw with this. Their flaw: age differences of the Fantastic Four and the X-Men....their solution: Time Travel Crisis....

I don't even know what to say about this. I kinda feel like they won't go through with this because one, the first one sucked. Two, the X-Men franchise might actually come to a close! On the X-Men schedule, the only movies left are X-Men Apocalypse, Deadpool, Gambit, and The Wolverine 2. And Hugh Jackman already said after his solo movies, he's finally done being the Wolverine! Although his own recommendation for a replacement is considerable (Tom Hardy), the brains of the X-Men movies, Bryan Singer is already saying that he doesn't even think he wants to go on once Hugh Jackman leaves! So what crossover will there be without the X-Men and enough Fantastic Four money?! HOW?!......

Now why Fox is stressing about making F4 sequels (they had a trilogy planned), is because their contract with Marvel states that Fox can own the F4, as long as they can make sequels to them and maintain the budget. If not, Marvel wins the rights back (and omg, if that happens, Disney/Marvel will make another Box Office hit!....too bad it's too late to put them in Captain America: Civil War....in the Civil War comic, Mr. Fantastic is a key player).

So, that's my review and the dilemma, of Fant4stic....what do you guys think?

My rating: 1/5.

*UPDATE: There are rumors flying around a Deadpool 2 could solve our problems! Fox is thinking to replace Fant4stic 2 with Deadpool 2, and that's where we might meet our new Wolverine Actor! Also, Hugh Jackman made another recommendation as to who will hold his legacy- Taran Egerton. I say, eh. Tom Hardy could do better.

*Comment below and tell me what you guys think about all this! I mean ALLLL this lol. Or whatever.

**I also take requests for movie reviews. Just let me know in the comments, and if I've seen it or will see it, I'll review it.
