Train Chaos

Yesterday (respective to when I wrote this), there was a bad rain storm going on over here. As usual, the trains would be late, but yesterday was just bad. The 50 mph wind gusts were knocking off lots of branches and wires throughout the city, plus with the rain and already low temperatures- I WAS FREEZING WAITING FOR THE TRAIN.

So I was at track practice and the storm literally just started as soon as I finished practice (I finished my outdoor run about 20 min. prior).

As I was icing my legs, I decided to check how the train schedule looks, except this time, I didn't. When you open the app, you have to go to the train schedule and pick your start/end stations, but before I did that, this HUGE weather warning was listed at the top.

Usually, you're supposed to ice for no more than twenty minutes, but once I read what's highlighted (sorry, I was too lazy to make it prettier), I was outta there! I dumped my ice bag and called the shuttle to take me to the station!

And oh boy, oh boy...To think I was gonna stay longer to ice....I made the right decision to leave; I realized I hadn't actually checked the times the train would come...and oh man, I had made it on time just to get on the first train that was coming (19 min. latel, because if not, I'd have to wait for that next train:

I've seen 60 min. before....but 110?! But no, it gets better! After waiting a bit at the station, more trains started to delay:

And apparently, the train that may have left or was canceled decided to make a cameo again on the train schedule- and it's evident that train no longer existed, being "999 min

So the train was going to be here the next day? OK then!

I looked it up, and sure enough the system had a glitch. Basically, the train was canceled. Good, haha.

Even before my train even came, the one after the two-hour was already delayed:

And sure enough, that "999" stood there for a while 😂.

Let me tell you, I was so cold, my fingers were numb, I couldn't even type correctly- AND I was wearing gloves (not the best quality gloves though, that was considered)!

So cold, I went home, had time to take a hot shower before dinner was ready- so I did, and even after my shower, my toes still had that tingly feeling it gets when it's trying to warm up- up until I finished eating....

I finished eating at 8:40 pm, did my homework until 10, leaving me six hours of sleep....

Not the worst of sleep-deprivations, but uh....

I certainly needed coffee in the morning (now)
