Carson: I thought we'd have dinner at the cottage tonight.
Mrs. Hughes: Are you sure?
Carson: Quite. As long as you can cook it properly.
Mrs. Hughes: I'm trying my best! It's been a long time since I've cooked.
Carson: I can tell. Maybe get some tips from Mrs. Patmore.
Mrs. Hughes: If you like her cooking so much, why don't you ask her to make the dinner?
Carson: Because you are my wife, and Mrs. Patmore is not.
Mrs. Hughes: Let me cook it my way, it's not too bad.
Carson: I suppose it's edible...barely
Mrs. Hughes: Why don't you cook the dinner then?
Carson: Because you are the wife. All you need to do is ask Mrs. Patmore for a much needed cooking lesson.
Carson has added Mrs. Patmore to the conversation.
Mrs. Patmore: Hello everybody.
Carson: Mrs. Patmore, Mrs. Hughes and I would very much like to eat dinner at our cottage. Do you think you could walk her through it?
Mrs. Patmore: I'll try my best.
Carson: Thank you.
Mrs. Patmore has left the chat.
Carson: See? Mrs. Patmore is willing to help. Accept it and make me a fabulous dinner.
Mrs. Hughes: I will do my best.
Carson: Good. Now, I must go and ring the gong.
Carson has left the conversation.
