Note: Sanders is the butler at the Palace

Thomas: Well, I got in. 🙂
Baxter: What are you talking about?🤔
Thomas: The job, at the Palace. They let me have it.
Baxter: That's brilliant! I'm really happy for you Thomas.
Thomas: Thank you, Ms. Baxter.
Meanwhile
Sanders: Your highnesses, in case you were wondering, we've finally found a new under butler.
Elizabeth: That's brilliant. You've been working way too hard Mr. Sanders.
David: Who is the new person?
Sanders: His name is Thomas Barrow, your grace.
Elizabeth: What?? 😮
David: What's wrong?
Elizabeth: He works at Downton.
David: Obviously not.
Sanders: Is he a good worker, your highness?
Elizabeth: He is. You won't be disappointed.
Sanders: I better not be.

Elizabeth: Can we sack him? He's extremely rude. Even her majesty thinks he doesn't respect us.
David: His family has been serving us for decades.
Elizabeth: So?
David: 😑
The next day
Thomas: Well, I'm off.
Andy: Good luck.
Anna: And text us. Let us know how you get on.
Thomas: I will.
Carson: I personally think this is very foolish. You are suppose to be loyal to his Lordship and his family.
Thomas: And what do you call Lady Darrel? I think she deserves my loyalty even more than his Lordship.
Carson: Well, when it doesn't work out, don't come back.
Mrs. Hughes: Mr. Carson! Don't be like that.
Baxter: We all wish you very good luck.
Bates: Even me. You deserve some happiness.
Thomas: Thank you Mr. Bates. Now, I must be off.

Later that day
Elizabeth: How are you settling in?
Barrow: It's going well.
Elizabeth: And I've seen that you've changed your username.
Barrow: Mr. Sanders' orders. He's...
Elizabeth: A bastard?
Barrow: Well, I was going to be a little less harsh.
Elizabeth: Well, if you think of something good, you have my permission to prank him.
Barrow: Thank you my...your highness.
Elizabeth: How is that to write?
Barrow: It feels weird.
Elizabeth: If there's nobody else on the chat, feel free to address me more causally.
Barrow: Thank you m'lady.
Elizabeth: I better go down for dinner. Good luck, Thomas.
Barrow: Thank you. For always being so kind to me.
