Dinner

Cora: Robert, why are we doing this?
Robert: My dear, with everybody away, we haven't had a proper family meal in ages.
Cora: Texting while everyone is eating their separate dinners is hardly a family meal.
Robert has added Violet, Tom, Mary, Edith, Darrel and Isobel to the conversation
Mary: Papa, what is this?
Robert: We haven't had a proper family meal in ages.
Tom: You do realize we're all in different places, right?
Robert: We can make this work. So, is anything interesting happening to anybody?
Isobel: I think Dr. Clarkson is ready to let the hospital be taken over.
Violet: You have just given him a strong argument, however, I'm sure I can change his mind.
Darrel: Should I send Scotland Yard to moderate?
Violet: Darrel, your sense of humour is childish and not appreciated.
Edith: I don't think that was meant as a joke.
Cora: I don't think Dr. Clarkson will jump ships again. He's going to stay on our side.
Violet: Then you shouldn't be worried.
Cora: I'm not worried!
Violet: Well you should be!
Tom: Darrel, how is it at the palace?
Darrel: I have a lot of meetings with representatives and in a few minutes, I actually have a dinner meeting.
Robert: Are the King and Queen making you unhappy again?
Darrel: Who says they ever were?
Robert: Well, from what I know about them...
Darrel: They're fine. I'll let them know you asked.
Robert: I wasn't asking.
Mary: As much as I don't like discussing you, how is your magazine Edith?
Edith: It's going very well. My new editor says hello by the way, to Tom.
Darrel: Do I hear wedding bells?
Tom: No. Stop being so childish.
Darrel: You can't order me around. 😋
Robert: Has the Queen made your power go to your head?
Edith: She's joking Papa.
Mary: That's why she put the emoji.
Isobel: Anyways, Dr. Clarkson is coming to luncheon tomorrow.
Violet: May I come over?
Isobel: It was suppose to be a meeting about how we're going to make the...
Violet: It doesn't matter. I'm coming over.
Isobel: Cora?
Cora: I suppose I'll come as well.
Violet: Are you trying to gang up on me?
Isobel: Yes!
Edith: This might not have been your best idea ever, Papa.
Mary: And for once, I agree with Edith.
Darrel: I better go. David's calling me down. I should be back at Downton in 2 weeks.
Darrel has left the conversation
Edith: I'm having a dinner with my editor. Goodbye everyone.
Edith has left the conversation
Mary: Well, Henry wants to take me to a restaurant, Tom, you're welcome to meet us there. Are you done looking at those hideous cars?
Tom: They were beautiful. And yes, I am finished, so I will meet you at the restaurant.
Mary: Splendid, see you there.
Mary has left the conversation
Tom has left the conversation
Isobel: I will see you tomorrow.
Violet: Not if I see you first. Now, can somebody tell me how to leave the chat?
Isobel has removed Violet from the conversation
Isobel: Cora, I will see you tomorrow.
Cora: Goodbye Isobel.
Isobel has left the conversation
Cora: Not the most successful 'dinner'.
Robert: Don't gloat. Come along, our dinner's ready.
