Darrel: Thank you Papa.😀
Robert: I'm sorry you couldn't be here to celebrate it with us.
Darrel: So am I. We'll have to do something special when I return to Downton.
Robert: What are the King and Queen planning to do?
Darrel: They've planned a ball, with every nobleman in London, by the looks of it.
Robert: I promise your party at Downton will be better.
Darrel: Why don't you come? I know you weren't invited, but I'm sure I can pull some strings.
Robert: I don't think it's a good idea.
Darrel: Why not? You're my family too.
Robert: You know they won't be happy to see us.
Darrel: I suppose. I'll FaceTime you later tonight.
Robert: Have a good day, my beautiful child.

Thomas: M'lady, I've been asked to text you on behalf of the staff. Happy birthday.
Darrel: Thank you Thomas.
Thomas: And Mrs. Patmore wants me to tell you that she'll make you a cake when you return.
Darrel: How sweet. Thank her for me.
Thomas: Of course my lady.
Darrel: Have a good day Thomas.
Thomas: The very same to you, my lady.

Sebastian: I've heard rumours that your party will be the best of the century.
Darrel: So have I.
Sebastian: And after thinking about it, I've decided on my gift for you.
Darrel: Sebastian, you don't have to...
Sebastian: My gift is friendship. I won't bother you and Paul. I want to be your friend.
Darrel: Thank you Sebastian, it means a lot to me. 😀
Sebastian: However, if you ever decide to dump him, I'll always be there, to take you back. ❤️
Darrel: That's sweet. But please, continue with you life. Do it for me.
Sebastian: I will try.
Darrel: Thanks.

Paul: How's your day so far?
Darrel: Not the best. I'm not allowed to leave my room, so that I don't see the party preparations before it starts.
Paul: I think it looks splendid.
Darrel: You've seen it?
Paul: The King and Queen wanted me to help with the set up. They think I know what you like.
Darrel: They better be right.
Paul: So do I.
Darrel: I'll see you tonight. And I hope you'll open the ball with me.
Paul: I would be honoured.

David: Fine, not when we're alone.
Darrel: Thank you.
David: Anyways, I just wanted to talk to you before the ball, because I don't think you'll be available.
Darrel: Sadly.
David: You've done well Darrel. I'm proud of you.
Darrel: Thanks David.
David: I'm sorry you've been put in this situation. But I have no doubt you will be the best queen England has ever seen.
Darrel: That means a lot. Thank you so much.
