Robert: I'm sorry.
Robert: I won't do something like this ever again.
Robert: Please give me another chance.
Robert: I love you.
Elizabeth: My sister has asked me to text her, and tell you to leave her alone.
Robert: Your grace, I want to try and make things right.
Elizabeth: It's been a month. When will you accept, that she doesn't love you anymore? If you want to do the right thing for her, you'll stay far away.
Elizabeth has removed Robert from the conversation
Elizabeth has added David to the conversation
Elizabeth: What did Lord Grantham want?
David: The usual. To beg for forgiveness and ask you to go back to Downton.
Elizabeth: And what do you think about that?
David: Do what you feel is right for you. Don't try to please us, or Lord and Lady Grantham.
Elizabeth: You're right.
David: However, I do have a suggestion.
Elizabeth: Which is?
David: I understand if you don't want to go back to live with them, but I don't think avoiding them and not texting Lord Grantham back is the right way to handle this situation.
Elizabeth: Well it's a good thing then that I'm not asking your opinion about what to do. 😡
Elizabeth has left the conversation
Later that day
Cora: Did you try to talk to her?
Robert: I've texted her every single day.
Cora: And?
Robert: She won't even answer anymore. Her brother does.
Cora: I can't believe you did this.
Robert: You don't even like her!
Cora: I'll admit, I do not like Darrel's biological parents, and I certainly don't like how she ended up at Downton. But at the end of the day, she is my daughter. I love her, and I want her home.😢
Robert: I'll do everything I can.
Cora: Thank you. And you're not leaving the dressing room for the foreseeable future. 😡
Meanwhile
Daisy: When's Lady Darrel coming back to Downton?
Mrs. Patmore: Haven't you heard? She's not coming back.
Daisy: Why not?🤔
Thomas: Because his lordship started spreading rumours about her online. She's moved in with the King and Queen and goes by her first name only.
Anna: I miss having her around. 😢
Molelsey: There's definitely less entertainment.
Thomas: Well, I liked when she came down and talked to us. It made me feel less like a servant, and more of a human.
Bates: Since when do you like Lady Darrel? Or anyone else, for that matter.
Baxter: Leave him alone.
Thomas: For your information Mr. Bates, I did like Lady Darrel, and she liked me.
Andy: Why?????
Thomas: I was nice to her when she was in the nursery.
Anna: He's right. He's always been quite fond of Lady Darrel.
Thomas: Thank you. And after all the nice things she's done to this family, I don't see how his lordship can do this to her.
Carson: Do remember Mr. Barrow, you serve, and you are loyal to his lordship. If he has disowned Lady Darrel, she is not a friend of ours.
Anna: That doesn't seem fair.
Carson: I didn't say anything about being fair. Mr. Barrow, go ring the gong.
Thomas: Yes Mr. Carson.
Later that day
Baxter: You were quite busy on your cellphone during supper, what's up?
Thomas: I, I think I'm leaving Downton.
Baxter: Why? You might not get a very good reference if you leave suddenly.
Thomas: I might not need one.
Baxter: Are you going to work with clocks?
Thomas: No. There's an opening as an under butler at the palace, I've applied.
Baxter: Seriously?
Thomas: Seriously.
Baxter: But, why would you do that? You've got friends here, and you're a butler.
Thomas: I can't work for his lordship. Besides, my only friend is Lady Darrel, and she's up in London.
Baxter: Well...I wish you luck.
Thomas: Thank you, Miss Baxter, soon to be Molesley.
