Safe, For Now

Ross's POV

I went home around dinner time, I walked into the front door and heard Sky screaming for Riker, I ran into my room, she was tied to the headboard! "Sky! What happened!" She stopped screaming but she was crying, I looked at my shirt she was wearing, it was soaked in red. Her stitches. She was getting pale. "He, he went for Michael." Then she passed out. I picked her up and drove her to the hospital.

 Half an hour later she was in a hospital room, they had been fixing her up, then a nurse came over to me, "Are you willing to give blood?" I could imagine Sky needed it. "Yeah, sure, as much as you need." She nodded and then walked me into a separate room. She hooked me up to a needle. Then she took two pints of blood. "Wow, that's a lot of blood." She said, "Well, one for your friend, and one for your brother." I said, "Why does my brother need blood? Why is he here?" I was starting to panic. She said, "Honey you need to calm down you just lost two pints of blood. Your brother has a bullet wound. You need to stay here so I can get him this. I nodded. "He went for Michael." I heard Sky say in my head. Who's Michael? He shot Riker?

An hour later I got my strength back, I stood up and I wasn't woozy, I walked down the hall, I saw Riker in one of the rooms. The nurse was hooking my blood up to a needle that was in his arm. His face was pale and he looked so lifeless. I wanted to cry, I couldn't lose either of them, I couldn't. I went back to the waiting room and cried. The next day I woke up in the waiting room chair, I had a terrible crick in my neck. I went into Riker's room, he was still in his bed but he was awake. I walked in, "You idiot. You got shot." He said, "Yeah, but it was worth it, that sick bastard's in jail." I said, "Who's Michael? I thought his name was Scott." He said, "No one could find him because he changed his name." Then he said, "Can you push back that curtain?" I moved the curtain that cut the room in half. Sky was on the other side. She looked well. Very confused, she said, "What happened?" She wasn't loopy anymore. Riker looked over at her, "I'm sorry I tied you up, I didn't want you to come after me. I didn't know you'd try." She said, "I just overheard your conversation. Thank you so much." I saw tears in her eyes. I said, "Can we not make the hospital a third home? We are here way to much." We all laughed and Sky said, "You know that's not going to happen." I said, "So what happens now?" Sky said, "I don’t know. I seriously can’t believe you got him arrested.” Riker said, “Yup, you’re safe now.”
