Riker’s POV
Sky texted me asking me if I could come over. Ross looked frustrated as he walked in the door. I walked to Sky’s place, I opened the door, I didn’t even bother knocking. She was standing by the door. I could see sadness in her eyes. I said, “Is everything okay?” She said, “It is now.” And she kissed me. I pulled back after, “What are you doing? I thought you didn’t want a relationship?” She kissed me again, “I don’t want to miss this chance.” I kissed her and picked her up, she wrapped her legs around my waist and we went over to the couch and started making out.
Ross’s POV
I was angry, but upset. Betrayed? Did I really betray her by thinking about getting back together with Alana? I guess so. I went to her place to apologize, but when I got there, I looked in the window. She and Riker were making out on the couch. How could she do this to me? And my own brother? I texted Alana that I wanted to get back together.
Riker’s POV
Things were beginning to get pretty heated between me and Sky. I pulled back for a breath. “What happened between you and Ross?” She helped me sit up. She said, “Nothing really, I just, don’t think we are friends anymore.” She looked like she was about to cry. I said, “You guys are best friends. You can’t just quit on each other now.” She said, “Why not? I mean, I can spend more time with you then.” I said, “I guess I can’t argue with that.” She kissed me again and we went back to making out. A while later I looked at the clock, “Oh, I gotta get home.” She said, “Ok. I’ll see you tomorrow?” I said, “How about a movie?” She smiled, “I’d love to.” She walked me to the door, we shared a kiss goodbye, then I walked home.
When I walked in the door, Ross was sitting on the couch. He had his arms crossed, “So, where’d you go?” I said, “Out.” He said, “Sky’s place?” I said, “What, did you follow me?” He said, “No, I’m just observing the lipstick that’s around your mouth.” I wiped my mouth with my sleeve. I said, “What did you guys even fight about?” He said, “That’s none of your business.” I said, “Then where I go, and who I’m with is none of your business.” And with that, I went to my room.
Dylan’s POV
How do I tell her it’s time? What do I say? I took the mint chocolate chip ice cream out of the freezer and two spoons. I walked to Sky’s room and opened the door, I stood there in the doorway. She was hugging her pillow and crying. I sat down on the edge of the bed. She sat up and I put and arm around her shoulder, she got close to me for comfort. She eventually stopped crying, then I handed her the ice cream. She said, “Oh no, what’s wrong?” I said, “You were crying all night, did you get in a fight with Ross? I knew something was up when I walked out of my room and you and Riker were sucking face on the couch.” She laughed, “You gotta say it like that?” I was glad I got her to laugh for a second. Then her smiled disappeared, “You looked like you were gonna tell me something when you came in. What was it?” I felt tears in my eyes. “It’s nothing; we can talk about it later.” She said. “Hey, don’t cry, what’s wrong?” I said, “It’s your cancer.”
