Riker's POV
I walked with Ross out to my car, he asked, "Where are we going to go?" I said, "We aren't going anywhere." He said, "Then why are we at your car?" I pointed to my car where a part of the front was missing. I looked at me and the car over and over again. His face in total shock. "Wait, you hit Sky with your car?" I said, "Yes but not on purpose." I got closer to the car and pointed at the front, It was the car ornament that was on the tip of the hood. " That piece that's missing, it was in her. She almost died!" I said, "I know, I was there!" He ran at me and took a swing straight at my face. I ducked out of the way and he tried and tried again. He could never hit me when we were kids, I was always too fast. I still was. When he took the next swing I grabbed his arm. When he couldn't get it out of my grip he swung with his other arm, so I caught him again. I turned him around and pushed him to the floor, with his arms behind his back he said, "What are you doing?" I said, "What are you doing?" He said, "You almost killed my best friend! " I said, "I know, but it was an accident! I need you to forgive me!" I was sitting on top of him now. He shouted, "How can I?" I said, "Because I'm your brother!" He seemed less stiff all of a sudden, I looked down at his face. He was crying. I let go of him and he stood up. He brushed himself off and just went back inside. I ran in after him.
Ross's POV
I ran into Sky's room, she was awake, I wanted to be the first thing she woke up to. I wiped the tears from my eyes, Sky was crying, and gripping her side. I ran over to her, Riker stayed in the doorway. I tried to get her to lie back down but she swatted my hands away. I stepped away, I yelled hate at her the last time she was awake, she must hate me. "Sky." I said. She just kept crying. I looked at Riker who was crying too now. I said, "Sky, you need to lie down, you might rip your stitches." She shook her head, she was about to say something, I was ready for it. "I'm sorry." She said. Riker and I were shocked. "What?" I said. She said, "I'm sorry." I said, "Why? I'm the one who made you leave." She said, "I should have told you about Alana a long time ago, when she first told me at the sleepover. You are my best friend, I never even liked her, I just pretended like I did because she was your girlfriend. It was wrong." I said, "No Sky, I shouldn't have yelled at you, you were trying to spare my feelings." She said, "No, it wasn't right, you deserved to know. If you knew when she told me, you would have valued your time with her more, but since you didn't know, you didn't really care." I saw blood seeping through her hospital gown. "Sky stop it!" I ran over to her and forced her to lie down. It was a bit too rough, and she looked very scared. I let go of her and said, "I'm sorry." In a hushed voice she said, "It's okay. Can you get a nurse?" I nodded and got one. The nurse told me and Riker to wait in a waiting room across the hall. A half an hour later the nurse left to grab something, then she came back, when she was in the door, she looked shocked and dropped what was in her hands, then she ran into the waiting room, "What's wrong?" I asked. She said, "Your friend, she's gone." Riker and I stood up, "What?" Riker said. We walked into the room, everything was still in its place, I had been watching the door the whole time for the nurse to come out. The curtain was closed so we couldn't have seen her leave any other way. I went over to the window that was on the outside of the room leading outside. It was open a crack. "Crap." I opened it and looked around, "She's gone." The nurse said, "She climbed out the window?" I said, "You'd be surprised, Sky uses windows more than doors." The nurse said, "Well what do we do now?" I said, "Find her."
Ross's POV
I looked at Riker, "I'll text you when I find her, I'll see you at home." And I climbed out the window, I looked around trying to think like Sky. She wouldn't want to run to the front because that's the parking lot and she would be seen, so she would have gone to the left and ran around the back of the building. I ran to the left and looked behind the building, still no sign of her. I kept running until I saw a girl in a white dress running really fast. I've never saw anyone run faster than Sky, never, not even the competitors in the Olympics. I could get close if I ran as hard as I could. I sprinted for my life, she could bleed out if her stitches were ripped again. She was probably tired because I was getting closer and closer. The girl was Sky and the white dress was her hospital gown. I caught up to her and was running beside her. "Stop!" She did, but I wasn't expecting it so I was still running, I had to slow down to stop, otherwise I would have fell on my face. I turned around and went back to her, I was out of breath, but she stood there and waited until I could speak again. "Why did you run?" I said, huffing and puffing. She said, "I need to get home now." I said, "No, you need to be in bed." She said, "No, I want to go home, to Dylan." She never picked Dylan over me. I took a step closer to her she took a step back. "What? Sky whats wrong?" She said, "I saw it, when I woke up, the nurses clipboard, I saw the license plate number of the car that hit me. It was your car, I knew you were mad, but I didn't think you were that mad. I didn't know you were capable of that." I said, "No, Sky, don't be scared of me, that wasn't me. Riker had my car that night because his is still in the shop. I was still in the house. You had just left, I couldn't have got there before you did." She shook her head and took off running again. She thought I was mad at her , enough to hit her with a car. I sat down in the grass and cried. "What is going on?" I whispered.
