Pay Day
Lean took out a pen and wrote.
Then she read the haiku aloud:
'Desert flower in bloom
You, awakin' with the moon
As cold as my heart'.
She covered half of her face
With her hat
And averted her gaze.
'Anyway, thanks for
Saving my beloved.
I know,
I owe you
So much more
Than just those
Verses.'
