under darkness of night
Doc Vale did ride
had to get out of town
to save his hide
with Carob Bob gone
and several more dead
he feared for his life
a bullet in the head
with 3Gun now in charge
the town now his
no place for Doc Vale
time to find Long Leg Liz
for certain she would know
where Carob Bob ran
she would show him
the lay of the land
but he feared what the trade
for the info might be
Liz did not come cheap
and she didn't care for currency
for she wanted more
than a gold coin or two
she wanted the souls
of the person too
Busted Gulch now a speck
on the desert's brown sand
Doc Vale hi-tailed
across the dry land
