Dices piled up at Alister's first throw;
But then: One to five in row.
"Large Straight, " Lean mumbled.
"Fourty, her father noted it down,
Already got cold feet?"
"Pha!"
Yet, Lean knew, he would be hard to beat.
"I mustn't listen, she told herself, it's just one of his dirty tricks
To announce his score like that..."
Dices rolled, her luck was bad.
Three Threes.
Obviously, fortune could not decide
With whom to side.
Two Twos gave her a break,
She was more than willing to take.
"Two to six in row – Small Straight!"
"Thirty. You're catching up,
But..." He started humming,
She drumming.
"Ha, two Sixes! My turn!"
"Twenty as Chance, how lame."
And so the match went on and on,
Until they heard Lean's yelp:
"I won!"
