Goin' after Lean
Somethin' about the ol' Doc's face
Seemed familiar but hard to place
I knew there's a connection from the past
But some memories choose not to last.
I had to find Lean she was in over her head
If I didn't get to her soon I'd find her dead
I asked the Doc about her brother
His symptoms could mean no other
He suffered from the cocopops
I knew what he needed to make 'em stop
I came here though to warn Carob Bob
He's about to become mulch
For Spent Shell last I heard
Was headed for Busted Gulch
Now there was no time
I road off into the dessert
By the tracks, I knew I wasn't far
and then I'd seen comin' toward me
...Six Star?
Whoa, Whoa boy!
It's okay!
He seemed real restless
huffed and neighed.
I took him in hand
And tied him to the saddle
Lean must be close
No time to dawdle
I seen the fire
Lean knocked out cold.
I dismounted and walked right up
Feelin' rather bold.
Two pairs of guns, ready to kill.
"Put 'em down boys. You need to chill."
"Why you here?" He said to me.
"Doin' your job, can't you see?
You got her and I got her horse,
Now you have to take her to Dad, of course."
"Dad's in hidin' since Spent Shell is 'round
before he ends up six feet under ground."
"Do you know where he's at? If not ask every KitKat.
Her brother got the cocopops real bad,
And now the only one can save 'em is Dad."
He looked down at Lean, he thought she was spyin'
Now he knew what was worth dyin'
"You goin' back?" He knew that I would.
Or my Dad's name wasn't Chief DamageGoods.
