Unexpected Allies
Three Gun got that look in his eye.
Before I knew why the reply
He turned the table up on its side
And said, "You best get behind and hide."
Two of his guns were in his hand
I think we just formed an impromptu band
With my peacemaker I took my stand
It felt like a good day to die.
"I got your back, Three Gun."
Who thought this would be
It was suppose to be a showdown
Between him and me.
I couldn't help but laugh
When the bullet went whizzing past.
"Promise you'll get that Limerick
'bout Lean's crazy horse
If we make out alive,
Of course."
"But we don't know who exactly won,"
He said before firing back his gun.
"I don't care." saying with a wink
"My passion lies with words and ink."
