Peer pressure can/ is a scary thing. Sometimes you can get in really sticky situations. I have never been peer pressured. But I know people who have. I know guys from school who where peer pressured to set a fire in the bathroom, ditch class and smoke pot behind school. And girls who where peer pressured to send a nude photo to one of the popular boys. And he forwarded the picture. She was a mess after that. But also little things can happen that are peer pressure. Like on my class trip to sea world, I was pressured to go on a roller coster I didn't want to go on. I know it's small, but true friends don't pressure you to do anything! If you get pressured into something you don't want to do because you know it will get you into trouble or cause you damage. Just say no! I know it may seem hard to do, but it's better to be safe then sorry. Say "John doe" was talking to you and said "hey man me and the guys are going to skip school and go behind the arcade and smoke pot, you want to join?" And lets say "John doe" is the cool guy in school, if you where friends with him , the whole school knew you and you would be popular! How cool right? But wait. Is ditching school and smoking pot, which can put your LIFE in danger, is it really worth it? Lets say you say yes to "John Doe." So you skip school with out your parents knowing, and you go smoke pot with the guys. The school calls your parents to let them know you didn't show up for school. So they know you skipped. But let's say, you and the guys get high as a kite. What happens your going to get hurt. I mean watch you don't pay attention when you cross the street and get hit by a car. Or you over dose or some crap. Or let's say you say no, But John Doe keep pressuring you, why not suggest something else, like going to the arcade saturday, to actually play games. Or go bowling. You get to be "cool" and you don't die! Or you could just say no. And live on with your life. Because in the end. It's just middle school. Who cares if your cool or not. If you kick ass in school, you will go far in life. And while John Doe and the "cool kid" smoke pot and do drugs and crap, you'll be a "successful whatever you wanna be"! So think, and then think again. And while your at it take another minuet to think is it worth it. Are you going to let peer pressure take over? Or are you going to rise above it?
