Kate wondered when (or even if) she would ever see him again. She then had a sad look on her face and Link noticed it. "What's wrong?" He asked. She told him "I have so much to ask you and tell you but I have to go back to work." He then told her "If it's meant to be then you'll see me again." This made her smile. "Wow!" she thought to herself. Kate then said goodbye to Link and went back to work. She went back to daydreaming and thinking about Link. It was almost time for the store to close. She continued to daydream and organize the clothes until it was time for her to leave.
When Kate got home her parents asked her about her day. She just said it was good and left it at that. Her mom tried to get more out of her but she wasn't budging. There was no reason to tell her parents about the day's events yet. Nothing really happened that her mom had to be concerned with. She could barely even talk to her parents about it because they had no idea who "her prince" even was. The one time she tried to explain Rhett and Link to her mom, her mom asked her "who are those two doofuses you keep watching?" So that was the extent of that explanation.
