Kate has no idea what to do about what happened with Link. She has to talk to somebody. She doesn't want to tell her parents that a man twice her age kissed her. They would kill both her and Link. So she decides to call the next best thing. She decides to call her best friend Emily. Emily is more of an older sister to Katie than a best friend and she really understands her.
So, Kate calls Emily. She gets on the phone with her and tells her basically everything. She starts off with talking about Rhett and Link and who they are. She then talks about actually meeting Link at work. She told Emily that it wasn't the only time she saw him. Kate then talks about the dream she had about him and the dream he even had about her. Then she talks about seeing him again at work. She told Emily about their second encounter in the fitting rooms that day. She even mentioned their "trip for coffee." When she was done telling Emily what they talked about she then told her the real reason why she wanted to talk to her.
She told Emily that he kissed her. Emily said to her "OMG he's 19 years older than you. And he has a wife and children!" She then tries to give Kate advice. The best thing she could come up with was to try and not think about it. Emily told her to act like it never happened. Kate thought this was a good idea. She then tells Emily that she has to go and they hang up.
