Fate (Rhett and Link fanfic)

Surprise

Link then waits patiently in the men's department. He is looking at different shirts and shorts and things like that. Then he sees Kate. She is in the boys department and he casually works his way back to where she is.

He then decides to send her a text. "Hey you" was what it read. He saw her read it and smile. He then texted her "turn around." She read it and immediately did as she was told. She saw Link right in front of her. "Hey" he said. "Wow" was her response.

L: "is that all you can say to me? I came all this way to find you and all I get is 'wow'?"

K: "ummmm no. I mean... Hi. Wow. Im just surprised to see you. Wait. How're you here now? You guys uploaded a new video this morning."

L: "we had the rest of this season prerecorded so it was vacation time."

K: "don't you usually go down to NC to visit family? And aren't you supposed to be with Christy?"

L: "yes but I decided to do something a little different this year... And I need to talk to you about that."

K: "so your idea of a different vacation is finding me?"

L: "exactly. I need to speak to you in private. I have some things I need to talk to you about and don't feel comfortable talking in public or over the phone."

K: "ummmmm ok well it's gonna be late. I don't get out until 8:30"

L: "that's fine. I can come back then and we can go to that same little cafe we went to last time"

K: "hmmmm.... Ok. just don't try anything this time Link."

L: "no promises."

He laughs and then leaves.

Kate then rolled her eyes, laughed at Link and went back to what she was working on. She now couldn't get Link out of her head. Her heart was beating a mile a minute and she was really excited and anxious. She thought to herself "I'm falling for him again. No. Screw that. I love him. I always have. Why does this keep happening to me?" Link left with a smile on his face and a plan brewing in his mind for later.
