Kate then thinks about everything. Even what her mom said to her. She thought it could possibly work out. She would have to get a new job in LA but that shouldn't be so hard. Especially since she now has experience. Everything else would be taken care of.

After about a week of thinking things through and looking for a new job in LA, Kate decides to talk to Link. She tells Link about her conversation with her mother. She tells him about her mom's thoughts and ideas. But a few minutes into the conversation she says to Link "I gotta call you back. I'm getting another call." He says "OK" and then hangs up. She answers the call. It turns out it's the company that she applied for last week. They were looking for sales associates to hire part time. She said she would take it.

Now she has two things to tell Link when she calls him back. Actually three. When she calls him the first time he doesn't answer but when she calls again he picks up with an annoyed "hello?"

K: "Hey Link. I'm sorry I hung up on you before. I was getting another call that was very important."

L: "It's ok I guess... So what else do you have to tell me?"

K: "A few things."

L: "OK?"

K: "First off: I love you. I know I haven't said that in a while and I felt like I needed to just because of everything that's going on lately."

L: "I love you too. You know that! Kate..."

K: "Yeah?"

L: "I will always love you. No matter what. Don't ever forget that."

K: "OK Link I won't."

L: "Good. So what else do you wanna tell me?"

K: "I think after my conversation with mom and a LOT of thinking I was hoping your offer was still on the table."

L: "Of course it is. What made you change your mind?" 

K: "Well, I thought it would be a good experience. I have always wanted to live out in LA since I was a kid and I think this is one of the only ways I will get out there."

L: "One of the ways? What's the other?"

K: "Moving out without telling my parents. Just sorta like a run away type thing. But I had no reason to so it never happened."

L: "Oh wow. So is that the only reason or is there more?"

K: It's like you know me too well...There IS one other reason." 

L: "Oh?"

K: "I got a job in LA. And it's the same job I have now so I'm not losing much money or anything really. It's just a different location." 

L: "That's great! I'm so happy for you!"

K: "Thanks Link! That means a lot to me."

L: "So when are you moving out here?"

K: "As soon as possible. I just have one more shift at work this week and then I have to finish packing all my stuff. It'll probably be by Saturday or Sunday."

L: "Ok then. I can't wait!"

K: "I seriously can't wait either Link. I'm so excited!"

L: "Well I gotta get going. I need to go pick up my kids. It's my weekend"

K: "Ok Link. I love you. Bye!!!"

L: "I love you too"

He hangs up and then goes to pick up Lily, Lincoln and Lando. When Link gets the kids Christy is there. She can tell that Link has something to say so she just waits for him to say it. When he tells her that Kate is moving in with him she is very happy for him but also a little upset because of what happened between them. 

Lily hears their conversation and says to Link "Daddy? Who's Kate?" Link answers her with "A very good friend of mine." Lily, being the oldest and most experienced out of all of Link's children has a feeling they're more than friends and asks him "Do you love her?" Link smiles and sighs. "Yes Lily. I do." "Does she love you?" Lily asked. "Yes she does Lily" Link replied. "How do you know?" Lily asks Link curiously. "I'll tell you one day" he said. Unsatisfied with her fathers answer Lily pouts and stomps out to the car.
