Link wakes up the next morning confused. He decides that he has to do something. The only person he can really talk to is Rhett. He decides to call him and try and get help. Their conversation went like this:
R: Hello?
L: Hey man.
R: Oh hey Link. What's up?
L: I took your advice and talked to her.
R: And how'd it go?
L: It was good. Up until the point where I KISSED HER!
R: You did WHAT??? How could you do that?
L: I don't know it just happened. Please don't tell Christy.
R: I'm tempted to tell her but I won't because you're my best friend and I know you wouldn't do anything like that to your wife.
L: Exactly. I still don't know what to do about it all.
R: All I can say man is to do what you think is right and best for you.
L: Even if it means hurting people that care about me and that I care about?
R: You gotta do what you gotta do man. Even if it means hurting people.
L: You're right. Thanks man.
After that they hang up and Link has a lot of thinking to do. That whole night and trip home the next day he thinks about everything. He thinks about his wife and kids. He thinks about what he has with them. He then thinks about everything that went on during that kiss with Kate. He felt a lot of passion and longing and desire.
He really hasn't felt that from his wife in a while. Maybe it was because he has been away from his wife. He should give her another shot. If nothing changes then maybe he made a decision about what he was going to do. He was ready to go home.
