Fate (Rhett and Link fanfic)

His summer

After a few months of filming GMM episodes, it is now time for Rhett and Link to take a break and go on vacation. They both take separate vacations because they're with each other all the time. Rhett goes home with his family to North Carolina and Link goes somewhere else. He goes to find a special someone, Kate. He desperately wants to talk to her. He wants to tell her everything that's been going on. He hasn't talked to her since the night she called him so this will definitely be a bit of a surprise for her.

​He purchases a ticket for New York. He knows he only has two weeks before he and Rhett start filming so that's all the time he has to find Kate. Link also knows that there are still about a week of episodes still waiting to air so this will definitely be a surprise. He thinks about what to say to Kate the whole trip to her. He doesn't remember where exactly she lived but he does remember where she works. He just hopes that she still works there.

​So Link goes there on a Saturday in the afternoon. He doesn't see Kate right away. But then about an hour later she walks in and goes straight to the back of the store. He watched her practically run back there. He thought she must've been late.
