Fate (Rhett and Link fanfic)

Coffee (round 2)

Link now has a couple of hours to get his thoughts together and figure out what to say to Kate. As soon as he saw her he started to get that weird feeling in his chest like he did last time. Now that he saw her again it confirmed his suspicions. He was quickly falling in love with her. He would never say that to her face..... At least not yet.

Even though he only saw her three times in total it felt like fate was taking its course. He had no control over what was going on. For some reason he wasn't complaining about it. He had no problems with it at all. He thinks about what to say to Kate and by the time he figures it all out it's time to go get her.

So 8:30 rolls around and now it's time for Kate to clock out and leave. She is curious as to what the hell Link has to say to her. She can't stop thinking about him. It's driving her crazy. She then sees Link in his car waiting for her. He doesn't do what he did last time but he does say hello to her as she enters the car. They then drive off and the car ride was pretty silent except for the radio playing. Eventually Kate hears a song she likes and sings along . Link also know the song and joins in. Then they laugh and sing along the rest of the trip to the cafe.

When they get to the cafe, Kate gets a cappuccino and Link gets a coffee. They then grab a table and sit down. Link then clears his throat and asks Kate how her past few months have been. Kate knew that there was more on his mind than what she was doing lately but she went along with it.

She had a feeling that he had more to ask her. So she answered his question with "good but busy" and told him that she spent a lot of her time actually watching his show. This made Link smile. She didn't tell him what she was doing the entire time. She didn't want to embarrass herself. "So what do you really wanna talk about Link?" She asked as soon as she came back from her thoughts about him.
