Ugh....Liz

A/N

So I've suddenly realized that writer's block sucks. I wrote 27 chapters and this one is the first one I get stuck on. GREAAAAAT!This chapter is mostly fluff but tell me what you think. I realized that i had a good idea for the next chapter but i needed something to lead up to that so this is an attempt at that.

At dinner Kate and Link made small talk with her parents. Her dad was shocked when Link told him who he actually was but other than surprised he seemed to be okay with it. He gave a "we'll talk later" look to Kate and then started to talk about other things. That whole time during dinner Link was holding Kate's hand under the table. As a result she was smiling the whole time and could barely eat any of the food on her plate because she was so excited and ecstatic. She couldn't believe this was happening.

After dinner Kate and Link watched the movie he picked out. They got cozy on the couch. A little too cozy for he father's liking but her mother told him to let them be and he did. The entire movie Kate was singing along. Unfortunately it was getting late and Link had to leave. She didn't want him to but he told her that they would see each other soon enough. So she walked him out to his car and they kissed goodbye. For Kate it felt like a lifetime before she would see him again. Once Kate got back into the house her dad asked her to talk to him. So she did and their conversation went pretty well. He told her that as long as he was kept in the loop about what was going on then he didn't mind it. He actually liked Link. Relieved, Kate went to bed with a smile on her face.

A few days later Kate had to go to work. She didn't mind it that much because she knew that she would see Link later on. Her shift was slow but she got through it thanks to Alex. He really knows how to cheer her up when she's sad or entertain her when she's bored. Towards the end of her shift she saw another person that she hasn't seen in a pretty long time.

It was one of her old camp counselors from 12 years ago. Yes. Kate went to day camp back when she was a kid and this woman that she saw happened to be her first camp counselor, Liz. Kate absolutely hated Liz and here's why. When Kate was about 14 years old, she was at the age where she was growing out of being a camper and so she decided to volunteer as a counselor. Liz would always pick on Kate for no reason. It annoyed the crap outta Kate. But she put on a smile and said hello to Liz who recognized Kate immediately. It was awkward.... However they talked and caught up. Liz actually was shopping with her sister for baby clothes. Kate asked her if she needed any help and they were alright. Then Liz noticed someone she didn't expect to see, Link. 

Kate knew that Link was going to be there so she wasn't as surprised as Liz was. "OH MY GOD! Do you know who that is?!?!" Liz asked Kate as she pointed at Link. "Oh, yeah. Hey Link, come here for a sec" Kate said as she laughed. He walked over to where Liz and Kate were. Liz was totally fangirling at this point and she was at a loss for words. "You know him?" she asked Kate. Kate laughed and said "yeah. He's a pretty close friend" as Link wrapped an arm around her. "Wow! Ummmmm..... hi!" Said Liz. "Hey there" said Link. 

Liz and Link ended up talking for a while which was good because it gave Kate a chance to finish work without being distracted. Once she was done with work she went out with Link. Once they got out of the store, Kate said "I hate that woman" to Link. He asked her why and she told him the whole story. "awww that's annoying" said Link once Kate was done with her story. "I know" she said. "You know what. I'm going to do something for you to make you feel better" Link told Kate. Another plan he had brewing in his brain. "What are you going to do?" she asked him curiously. "You'll see."

It was almost time for Link to go back home. He had spent a week with Kate exploring their relationship. He loved every second of it. He hated that he had to leave but he knew that he wouldn't be gone for good. He had one last special thing planned for Kate. This would be a little goodbye gift. Link just needed some help and he knew exactly who to ask.
