((Skys POV))

I sighed as I sunk down in the nice warm bath water. After the day I've been having, I think I deserved something nice and relaxing.

Although my mind couldn't get off of the troubles that caused me to stress.

I had a ton of homework, and I had two huge tests on Monday that I still needed to study for.

Most people have an easy life. All my friends are apart of after school activities. Sure, I'm apart of cheerleading but I was planning on quitting after this year.

It just seems that I can't find my place in high school just yet, and it's already halfway through the year.

Being a new student, the popular girls automatically accepted me and taught me the ways of fashion, but in my heart I just wasn't meant for that.

If only people understood.

I noticed that my favorite song was on and turned it up on blast. I sank down into the warm water, and gave out a sigh in relief.

Then I noticed that the song was a song I held dearly in my heart. Whenever I heard it I always thought of my mom and brother, and the love I have for our tiny family.

They were family I could always depend on to help me find my place.

"Hey Sky! Whoa, you don't look so good," Lani frowned as she walked up to me.

I only sighed as I shut my locker. A loud yawn escaped my lips before I looked at her.

"I stayed up almost all night studying," I told her.

"What? Sky, that's not good at all. You should have gotten sleep!"

"Sleep is for...." I felt my voice trailing off as I started to fall asleep then and there.

It wasn't until Lani shook me awake that I snapped out of my trance.

"Come on, let's go to the nurses office so you can call your mom, and she can take you home."

She grabbed my wrist, but I pulled away.

"What? No! I have to take those tests today!"

"And if you take them today, you will probably fail them!"

I only gave out an agitated sigh in response. No mater how much I wanted to deny her statement, I knew that deep down she was right.

"Fine," I managed to say.

Together we went down to the nurses office, and Lani explained the whole story. The nurse seemed to understand.

"Honey, I know passing is important, but your health is the most important over everything. You can take those tests when you are well rested," the nurse said with a smile as she led me to lay down before my mom got here.
"Thank you Lani, for bringing her down to me."

"You're welcome."

With that Lani left, leaving the nurse and me alone. It was an awkward silence, but she asked me some questions along the way.

That's when he walked in.

Samheed was basically holding Alex, who didn't really look so good.
Alex looked like he was in pain as he was holding his knee.

"What happened," the nurse frantically asked as she led Alex to sit down.

"He fell pretty hard on his knee," Samheed said with a frown.
"We were in gym class playing football, and he went to catch it and kinda failed."

Alex laughed a little.

"Shut up Sam, I didn't fail. I still caught the ball, didn't I?"

Sam just snorted and rolled his eyes.

"Whatever you say."

"Stop fighting you too," the nurse simply said as she handed Alex a bag of ice.
"It isn't going to get you far."

She turned to Alex and simply told him to sit here for as long as he needed before heading to class with an elevator pass for the day.

She then said she had to get some papers from the office, and left the two of us alone in the room.

When our eyes met, his was the first ones to widen.

"Sky?"

"Hey Alex," I said with a small smile.

"W-What are you doing here?" He asked me as he shifted uncomfortably.

"I studied all night and am extremely exhausted," I gave out a small yawn.
"And I'm going to go home be uses of it."

"Oh," he simply said. "Lucky you."

"I guess you weren't so lucky," I laughed a little as I pointed at his now bad knee.

He laughed a little, and I could tell his cheeks were warming up a little due to their color changing. I guess he was just embarrassed to look weak.

"It's just a bruise, it will heal."

"Let's hope"

Both of us were silent for a while before I thought of what to say next.

"Isn't your big game tonight?" I asked him.

"Oh, yeah," he said with a smile.
"It's a home game too."

"Well then expect me to be there," I laughed and smiled.
"Cheering you on from the stands with the rest of the gang."

"Thanks, I'm glad to hear that you are going to be there," Alex laughed back.

Suddenly the nurses office door opened again to reveal the nurse walking in.

"Sky, your mother is here in the office. She's here to take you home."

"Alright."

I stood up and looked back at Alex who was looking at me as well. I couldn't stop smiling as I said,

"Bye Alex."

"See you."

As I left the nurses office and went to my mom, she looked a bit confused at my smiling face.

"You don't seem tired at all. Are you lying to people?" She teased me.
"Or did you run into a cute boy!"

I told her that I just thought of something funny, and she left it at that.

What she didn't know is that she was right.
