((Samheed's POV))"Al hasn't texted back yet," I simply said as I stared at my phone.
It was just the 4 of us left. Me, Meg, Lani, and Sky. If I'm honest, I'm shocked Sky didn't go with the Stowe brothers. She worries about Alex more than I do, if that's even possible.
"Let's not try and worry about it," Meghan said with a small frown.
"Worry? I'm not worried," I sighed. "I'm just... scared. Yes, I admit it. I'm scared. What if something bad happened to their mom?"
"I'm sure if something did Alex would text us back," Lani frowned as she rested her head on my shoulder.
"Let's just hope for the best," Meghan frowned.
All of us were silent for awhile, all lost in thought. The sadness in the room could be cut with a knife. I found myself running my fingers through Lani's hair.
"What do we do now?" Meg asked softly.
"I don't know," I frowned. "I mean... we could watch another movie."
"Nah, I'm not feeling it," Lani sighed. "Let's just head to bed. You all spending the night?"
"Can't," Meghan said as she stood up. "I have that tournament tomorrow for academic team. I'm assuming Alex isn't going to it. I'll have to contact the coach."
"Alright, do you need someone to drive you home Meg?" Sky asked softly.
"Nah. My brother is coming to pick me up, I just texted him," Meghan said as she stretched. "Sorry to leave so soon."
"It's alright. It's getting late after all," Lani sighed as she continued to rest her head on my shoulder.
"We understand," Sky yawned a little. "It was just going to be us and the Stowe's spending the night but that fell through."
Meghan smiled softly as she looked at her phone. Grabbing her stuff, she yawned too from being exhausted.
"Sean texted me. He's here. I have to go."
The girls and I said goodbye to Meg before she went out through the front door and into the cold night.
Through the cracks in the blinds, I watched Meg get in the car and obviously bicker with her brother for a little bit. I couldn't help but chuckle.
"What?" Lani asked me as she looked up since her head was on my leg now.
"Meg is fighting with her brother. Figures," I snickered.
Finally I watched as she got in the car, her brother finally driving up the street. The car soon turned, disappearing finally from view. I lowered the blinds after that and looked back at Sky and Lani.
"Well ladies, we should get to bed. What time is it?"
"1:17 in the morning," Sky sighed.
"Holy smokes," Lani whistled.
I watched as my girlfriend got up and went to get blankets. Sky got up to go change, and I set up my spot on the couch. I had no idea where the girls would be sleeping, but the guys had planned to sleep down here in the living room. The girls were meant to go to Lani's room.
But everything was falling apart. The girls came back in their pajamas and looked over at me already comfortable on the leather couch.
"Are you sure you're ok down here Sam?" Sky asked with a small head tilt. "It's just you down here."
"I'll be fine," I mumbled from being sleepy.
"You girls go upstairs. This is super comfortable actually.""I feel bad," Lani frowned. God she was so adorable when she was pouting. "Maybe you can go and keep Henry company."
