((Meghan's POV))The dance was in a few day.
Lani, Sky, and I decided to go dress shopping for the occasion. Both Lani and I knew that our goal was to get the perfect dress for Sky no matter how much money it was. After all, if there is one thing me and Lani have in common it's our weak hearts for romance. Lani wants her happily ever after. Me though, well, I just want to see my friends happy.
"So Sky," Lani giggled as Sky looked behind her at us in the backseat.
"What color dress where you thinking?
We're buying Alex a matching tie!""Why?" Sky asked in confusion.
"Because that's what couples do!"
"Oh, well. Me and Alex aren't a couple. We're just going to the dance together. That's all."
Before I could say anything, Copper chuckled as she turned her turn signal on.
"That's what she says girls. Don't listen to her."
"Mom!"
"You took the words right out of my mouth," Lani laughed. "Come on Sky, you're mom is the awesome sauce."
I was going to ask where awesome sauce came from, but then I remembered Samheed says that literally all the time.
"Say Lani-"
"We're here girls!" Copper smiled as she parked the car in the crowded parking lot.
"The mall!""Say, where's Crow?" I asked her as we all got out.
Sky laughed as we all walked together across the street to the entrance to the mall.
"Take a wild guess Meghan."
"With Henry?" I managed to say.
"Yep."
"This is a girls day!" Copper sang with excitement as she opened the door.
As we walked into the mall, it was a familiar sight. I've been here a thousand times with Alex and my other friends, however, the place seemed to have a new sparkle to it. The place smelled like pumpkin spice, with a dash of vanilla. I was attracted to the smell, but I realized it smelled like it did because there was a candle store right next to us.
"Come on girls, time to look for dresses!" Copper smiled, and I could tell she was trying not to freak out.
She seemed more excited to go dress shopping then all three of us.
We all walked to the first dress store, and I knew right away that this was going to take all day to find the perfect dress for the three of us that fits in our budget.
"So Lani," Sky smiled. "What dress color are YOU getting?"
"Huh? Oh, I don't know. I like blue though!" Lani stated as she fixed her glasses.
"Ugh, stupid glasses. I'm getting contacts soon."Sky and I both exchanged looks with smirks. Lani was clueless, and it was so funny.
"Oh, I see," I chuckled as we headed deep into the store.
"So you tease Sky about matching with Alex, but what about you?"
