((Meghan's POV))

Oh honey.

I could tell today was going to be a disaster.

As I walked into the school building, I had a few choice words for Samheed. As I stomped up to the third floor where we sat in the hallway before school began, I was so prepared to yell at him so much.

However, as I turned the corner to arrive at our spot in the science room hallway, I paused as soon as I saw him.

Samheed was sitting back against the wall, his knees pulled up to his chest. He had his head hidden in his knees.

My heart broke as I watched him shake slightly. Just sitting there, a cloud of sadness surrounding the area.

Something was seriously wrong.

"Sam?"

I quickly walked over to him, throwing my bag down by him as I got on my knees in front of him. He didn't look at me until I forced him to.

He looked at me with a quivering lower lip and red eyes. Tears streamed down his face as he sniffled.

Sam never cried. He's only cried in front of me once.

That time wasn't fun at all.

"Samheed," I said, holding back some tears myself as I rested my hand on his shoulder. "What's wrong? You can tell me."

"C-Can we go somewhere private?" He asked hesitantly. "Please...?"

I nodded and quickly I got up from the ground. Offering both of my hands to him, he took them as I pulled him up. He was much taller than me I noticed. He had gotten stronger and more muscular since his basketball training had increased.

But now the boy in front of me looked absolutely miserable.

I led Sam down the hallway, holding his hand tightly to protect him. He's one of my best friends. I just had to get him to safety.

I opened the girl's bathroom door, and he quickly let go of my hand.

"I-I can't go in there," he stammered. "I'm a guy."

"Oh who cares," I groaned. "Nobody comes up here in the mornings anyway."

I grabbed his hand again and forced him to go in the girls bathroom. He didn't fight back this time as I opened the bigger stall door. Both of us would have plenty of room to sit and chill in there without getting interrupted.

"Are girl's bathrooms usually this clean?" Samheed laughed softly as he cried some more.

"Who cares," I groaned as I snapped the lock on the bathroom door closed behind us.

"If someone comes in they'll 100% think we're in here to make out or something," he sighed as he sat on the floor again.

"I don't care," I said as I rolled my eyes. I sunk down to sit next to him. "The only thing I care about is knowing that you're okay."

"Will it shock you if I told you I wasn't okay?" He laughed softly as he picked dirt out from under his nails to keep himself occupied.

He didn't look at me. I didn't expect him to. Looking people in the eyes can sometimes be too much.

"Not at all," I sighed softly. "But Sam, you're my closest friend. We've known each other for so long. You can tell me anything in the world and I wouldn't judge."
