((Alex's POV))

I stood there. I just stood there looking at the beautiful girl in front of me with a shocked look on her face.

I honestly didn't know what to say next.

"Confessed?" She said softly in disbelief.

"Yes. Apparently he has a crush on me."

"But he's with Lani," she frowned.

"I know."

"And they're a couple. A cute one.."

"Yep."

"But... what?" She said in confusion.

"Exactly my reaction," I sighed as I shook my head. "Look, don't worry about me liking him back or whatever."

"Oh no, I don't care," she said, laughing as she shook her head. "About you I mean. I know. But I'm just worried for Lani. She won't take this well. She's... I know I shouldn't say this. But she's already insecure as it is Alex... If she finds out she might break down."

I sighed for what felt like the millionth time today as I started to pace around a little. Sitting down on the nearest stair, I only looked up at her with a small side frown.

"He hasn't cheated. So he's still faithful to her. And by the date on that journal entry, his major feelings were a little while ago," I stated, tapping my white converse on the ground.

Sky decided to take the spot on the stair next to me, so I scooted over so she could sit with me. I felt her hand go in mine, and I interlocked our fingers. Us, sitting here together, seemed right. It would forever seem right.

"I know," she smiled a little as she looked me in the eyes. "I'm not mad. At Sam or you or anyone."

"Thank you," I smiled back. "That means a lot."

"Eh, I mean I can't blame him. I would want to make out with you all the time too," she snickered playfully.

"S-Sky!" I stammered, feeling my face grow warmer by the second.

That only got her to laugh next to me, all while leaning against me in the process. I couldn't help but smile as I wrapped my arms around her waist.

Soon our laughter died down, and she rested the back of her head against my collarbone. By now my back was against the wall, my legs open for her to be in between to sit. Even though her back was to me, I just wanted to hold her for hours.

She looked up at me from behind, smiled, and before I could say anything her lips pressed against mine. I didn't argue as I kissed her back softly.

Her lips tasted like coffee since she must have had some this morning. I didn't care as I just had my eyes closed in pure bliss. I could skip 3 classes if she wanted to. I would stay here, kissing and holding her, until she was ready to stop.

She soon pulled away though, standing up with a sigh. Deep down I was disappointed, but I knew we had to get to class soon. Besides, we were one of those kissing couples in the halls now. That was not a good look.

I stood up and grabbed our stuff. When I was about to tell her goodbye, she stopped me by grabbing my hand.

"Where are you going?" She asked. "Put my stuff down and yours."

"But class starts in 10 minutes," I laughed nervously.

"Meh, we can get to class in 2 minutes. We have 8 minutes," she smiled.

"8 minutes to do what?"

She just rolled her eyes, forced me to put our backpacks back down on the floor, and kissed me again hard.
