((Samheed's POV))

At lunch I wasn't sure where to sit.

Lani and Meg were at the table we were at yesterday and not with Sky, Aaron, or Alex.

I bit my lip as me and Alex locked eyes. I decided to change my course. Slowly I walked up to Alex at his table.

"Hey... Can we go talk?" I managed to ask.

"Sure," Alex said as he stood up with his tray.

My eyes caught Sky looking at me. She didn't look angry, and she didn't look sad either. Did she know? By her eyes it was obvious she knew. They didn't show jealously either.

They showed relief.

Alex led me to where we would leave the cafeteria. Lani and Meg when I looked over looked very confused.

This needed to happen.

Together the two of us went somewhere where nobody would find us. Since students could eat anywhere on the first floor, we were able to go somewhere else to be in a private area.

He led me under the stairs by Mr. Healy's room. It was as if he knew this area would be abandoned.

Alex sighed as he sat on the ground with his lunch. I awkwardly sat down across from him.

"So..."

"So..." I winced from awkwardness. "This is happening."

"Sam, I'm not mad at you," he frowned.

"Really? By your reaction I thought you were super disgusted."

"I'm just-" he groaned as he tried to think of what else to say. "I'm not mad. I was but.. I don't know."

"You don't know?" I said with a skeptic raised eyebrow. "Know what?"

He looked down at his lunch and twirled his plastic fork on his tray. His eyes wouldn't meet mine as he stabbed his carrots.

"I don't know," he shrugged. "You mean too much for me to be mad at you I guess."

I sighed as I picked up a fry and ate it. He had a point. A very strong point. We meant too much to one another.

"Damn Stowe," I grumbled. "Why do you have to be such an attractive person?"

He only laughed as he looked at me again.

"Oh? I know you like me, but thanks for the compliment. I think I am pretty sexy."

"Shut up!" I groaned but laughed. "I'm talking about your personality."

"Aww I'm hurt," he snickered. "So I'm not hot?"

"Don't make me say it," I grumbled.

"Oh I will never let this go," he teased me as he punched my arm playfully.

I only rolled my eyes and sighed. Alex Stowe was a pain.

But he was a nice pain.

Together the both of us ate our lunch in silence for a little bit. I couldn't keep my eyes off of him as he finished eating his cooked carrots.

I bit my lip as I was hesitant to say what I wanted to.

"I... Alex. You mean a lot to me."

"I know," he said as he took another bite of his food. "Your journal kind of told me that."

"You have to believe me," I frowned. "I didn't leave that on my bed. I wouldn't do that."

"I don't care about that," he sighed as he placed his fork back down. "I only care about what exactly happened."
