"We're not leaving." Rick says, cocking his gun as he gets to his feet.

I stand up on the upper level of the cellblock beside Daryl and look down below me as we discuss what tactics we should use against the Governor.

"We can't stay here." Hershel argues from his spot on the stairs, giving himself a rest for his leg.

"What if there's another sniper? A wood pallet wouldn't stop one of those rounds." Maggie states.

"We can't even go outside." Beth says from her spot by Judith's box.

"Not in the daylight." Carol clarifies.

"Rick says we're not running, we're not running!" Glenn states.

"No, better to live like rats." Merle taunts from the other side of the locked gate.

Rick speaks to him, "No, you got a better idea?"

"Yeah, we should of slid out of here last night, live to fight another day. We lost that window didn't we, I'm sure he's got scouts in every road out of this place by now." Merle explains, using his knowledge of the Governor.

"Yeah, well we ain't scared of that prick." Daryl says from beside me, walking towards his brother.

"Y'all should be. That truck through the fence thing, that's him just ringing the doorbell. We might have thick walls to hide behind, but he's got the guns and the numbers. And if he takes the high ground around this place, shoot... He could just starve us out if he wanted too." Merle explains.

"Let's put him in the other cell block." Maggie says distressed.

"No, he's got a point." I shake my head as I defend him.

"This is all you, you started this!" Maggie yells at Merle.

"What's the difference whose fault this is? What do we do?" Beth asks, walking to the top of the stairs.

"I said we should leave. Now Axel's dead. Now we can't just sit here." Hershel says, getting riled up.

Rick turns and begins to walk out of the cell block when Hershel yells after getting to his feet, "Get back here!"

Rick stops and Hershel walks forward, "You're slipping Rick, we've all seen it. We understand why, but now is not the time. You once said this wasn't a democracy, now you have to own up to that. I put my family's life in your hands, so get your head clear and do something."

Rick looks at him a moment before walking away, opening the door and moving past Merle to go take watch. I stare after him for a moment before I move back from the railing and walk towards my room. I walk in and look around the room that at this point I will most likely starve to death in. I walk over to the bed and take a seat. I stare at the wall for a moment as I rub my hands over my face before laying it in my palms.

I close my eyes eyes and let my thoughts go for a moment before I hear footsteps coming into the room. I already know who it is and I don't move from my position as he takes a seat next to me.

"This whole situation is messed up." I murmur into my palms.

"You can say that again." He says, moving back to sit back against the cell wall.

I turn my head back and look at him, "Do you think it was a mistake coming back here?"

His eyes widen for a moment before he speaks, "No, do you?"

I look at him for a moment before I shake my head, "No. If we're gonna die, might as well be fighting for the people that I love."

"Don't say that." He says.
