"Walkers are surrounding the place, they're only going to keep on coming. This is just the beginning." Jesus says looking towards the bus, the only thing that protects us from the walkers on the other side.

"The noise we made will be bringing them for miles." I murmur, my arms folded over my chest as I listen to their groans.

"Negan's men have set up set up camp in the woods north from here. I saw their fires burning before sunrise this morning." Rosita states, nodding over towards the direction of the forest.

"Good news is they'll be clearing them out from that side..." Morgan murmurs.

"Or get eaten, either way." Daryl adds.

"Yeah, good news. I'm going to clear a path to the gate, block it with the buses from the kingdom." Jesus says before turning to look to Daryl, "I go left and you go right?"

"Works for me." Daryl says.

The two men run forward, Morgan following behind him. Rosita goes to go but I catch her arm and look her in the eye, "Eugene is coming back, I know he is."

We found out that Eugene and his group were captured by the saviours at their ammunition factory. It's been a few days and we haven't heard anything from them yet.

Rosita licks her lips before nodding her head, "Yeah, I know."

I give her a small nod and she turns, making her way after the men. I turn and make my way inside towards the make shift hospital rooms. I hear the groans of the people inside and a weird feeling comes over me. I walk towards the room Rick is in and I gently knock on the door.

"Come in." I hear Doctor Carson call out.

I open the door and step in. Rick is sitting up in bed with his shirt off, Doctor Carson wrapping a bandage around his side. Michonne, Carl and Judith stand behind him as they watch the doctor work.

"How is he?" I ask, closing the door behind me.

"I'm not bleeding to death." Rick states, speaking over the top of the doctor, "Why don't you go do something for him." Rick says, nodding over to the other bed where one of the Hilltop men lay.

Doctor Carson finishes up on Rick before making his way over to the man. He is sweating profusely and has a high temperature, just like everyone else in his situation, " I don't know what it is. I've cleaned and bandaged the wound on your back. It barely required stitches, this fever... It's as if you've been bitten."

There's a knock at the door and it opens up quickly, a woman poking her head in, "Doc, you need to come quick. It's Richard. You patched up his cut, but now he's got a bad fever. Arnold too."

"That's just not possible, it doesn't make any sense. What is happening here?" He asks before making his way out of the room, closing the door behind him.

I turn and look towards Rick, "How're you feeling?"

"I'm fine, it just hurts is all." Rick says, wincing slightly as he moves, "I just can't believe that Dwight shot me. I'm going to kill him."

I shake my head as I step towards him, "No Rick, you don't understand. He did it to save you."

"What? How can you know that?" Carl asks, sounding as confused as the other look.

"Because he did the same thing to me. He shot me in the leg because he had too, but he did it to stop the saviours shooting me with a gun. It meant that there would be less damage and I would heal quicker." I explain quickly, "Dwight must have shot you for the same reason. Negan probably gave him the order, so he did the job. But notice how everyone else is breaking out into these fevers but you aren't?"
